With the chrome (which I luv)... I'm partial to a lighter toned pick guard like the white , or parchment, or "mother of toilet seat". But what I'd really love to see, would be a vintage mint pick guard with a dark red old-school Thunderbird icon. I'm not sure I've seen a vintage mint T-bird PG before... but I think that would give it some heavy duty vintage mojo

Yes I have made them in the past. Might have a few stashed away. For accuracys sake mint is a 7ender thing.I think I recall @godofthunder59 having a parchment PG...
Here is my Cherry Bach with a parchment /black /parchment pg I make.Thanks. Now I have to try and find pics of all his Thunderbirds.

Here is a mock up of black on my Cherry T-Bird:
Thoughts?
Speaking of parchment (or creme) pickguards:
I like the black-on-cherry thing!

At least they're not TORT
That looks great also!
Ok, that looks cool.
That’s parchment? Wow, looks quite white on my screen.
Ya wanna know what's funny? I've apparently spent so much time Thunderbird hunting, that I kinda forgot about the Firebird! When I spotted that out on the web, I just thought, "OH! What a cool old T-bird icon!".Firebird? Not sure they fit. Also got a switch hole at the tip.

€: oh btw I like the idea. Would shake things up a bit.
Part of the appeal to the vintage mint, is that it doesn't really look all that 'green', unless it's shown against other greens, or white. I think that, if it were cut to the appropriate size & shape, it would look great on a Gibby! We've all seen MOTO, tort, and various other PGs that aren't historically associated with Gibson... why not vintage mint?Yes I have made them in the past. Might have a few stashed away. WOW man!!! Yup! I woulda made that same trade a hundred times over! Great score!![]()
yes... yes...Wrong bird, dude!![]()

Thinking of painting my white pickguard and putting on a third replacement logo. Thinking black on black would be great for my Crue bandYa wanna know what's funny? Are these the same as you’re looking for? If so, I’m happy to send them over to you. Barely used.Anyone know where I can find a single Rotosound 65 gauge RN 66LD? Nickel on steel... some string company somewhere?
I just went to re-string the Mutant Hamer, and my friends picked me up a set of these at a yard sale. The 65 had been replaced by a used, bent flat-wound. What- ehh. Glad they only paid .99 for 'em!
