(Possibly) encouraging developments at Andertons here in the uk. The expected stock date on the order info for my vintage pro has gone back again (no, really?!). However, this time they’ve shifted it 5 days rather than the clean month that has been the case the previous 2 times. I’m hoping this means that they have finally had some info from Epiphone. I’ll check with them when they’re open tomorrow, but I feel a little more positive now 
Just gave the Epiphone site a look, there is now no mention of what the fingerboard is made out of for the Vintage Pro.
When they first had the VP up on the site, fingerboard material was listed as rosewood. So i am now very curious as to whether it is also going to be blackwood tec, like The Embassy.

Don’t forget though, according to the epiphone site the Vintage Pro has a 3-way selector!

I honestly think that they are holding them back until they sell off more of the Classic IV Pros. I just can't see keeping two models with essentially the same price point, in the same line, at the same time - to fill the same niche.
They do it with the Les Pauls.
One of our Queens Birds. Someone should buy it for the royal lineage.

Yes. Unfortunately I can't buy either.
I assume you're referring to having several models at the same price point. That is true - but a Les Paul (SG, Tele, Strat, P or J Bass) is not nearly as much of a niche item as the Thunderbird. I find it interesting that the Embassy and the TB-VPro were announced at the same time, with the same initial due date, yet one is here and the other isn't.

Same here, not even close, but i'd have to go for the NS if there was even a chance.
They're using it to line the control cavities on the Vintage Pros.
It's weird when I wake up and there's only a page to read.
That means theFixer has slept in.
Also, for the record, I would welcome a BlackwoodTek fingerboard. If it's hard enough and stable enough it will do the job.

That's weird, I looked for 'Blackwood Tec' and Googlies said 'oh you mean Blackwood Tek doncha?'
Seems both spellings are in use.
