Looking at stringing up an Epiphone T-Bird Pro IV that I recently was able to take home. Trying to figure out if this bass model is for me.

What do you guys string your Thunderbirds with, & why?

DR Black Beauties and High Beams mostly. They sound less "zingy" than any other new strings I have tried and I like the feel.

@Nocturnal needs to buy this. It’s in his hometown.

The US Postal Service has its own special logic. My flanger has been on a leisurely farewell tour of the South.

Leesburg GA > Albany GA > Tallahassee FL > Miami FL (a nice 4 day stopover) > now Atlanta ... which I believe is a city in Georgia, although I may be wrong about that.

Very unusual. Everything I've ever sent by USPS overseas has left the states within two days of mailing it.

I send all my basses, domestic and foreign, by Priority Mail. Pink one went out on the Friday before Thanksgiving and was delivered to California last Monday. Saturday is a business day for the P.O. unlike Fedex and UPS.

I found a new way to run my B7KU into my Mesa, and am really digging it! Turned the gain down a bit on the amp for a little cleaner tone, then turn up the master on the pedal. With the distortion disengaged, it really drives the tubes. Sounds great!

Then with the distortion engaged, grunt switch in boost position, attack I think was cut position, the drive and level were pretty high, it gets really dirty!

Have just been trying that, i run the master till just before it's clipping the signal from the GK, sounds killer!

It has been 5 days and the package is less than 300km away from where it was posted. The question is will it go North, South or West next?

I know you were joking, but as soon as I read that, I started thinking of ways for that to work, and I think it’s very doable. It would just be a digital sound, but it would be REALLY COOL!!
A proximity laser would determine the note you’re fretting, etc.

I live in a small town. I had a problem with a package I sent to an old address (the company never changed it on their website). My local postmaster was able to track it down and sort it out.

I suggest you contact the sender and try to have him find out what's going on. The P.O. has more info than they give out to the public.

There's an old saying in the southern parts of the country, "you can't get to heaven without going through Atlanta first".
Holds pretty true for shipped goods in that part of the country as well.

Duke - incase I haven't already said so, I really dig that reshaped/refinished laminate body bass in the center hanger. The body shape just looks so perfectly proportioned. It makes a Jazz look bloated and a P bass look boring. Well played sir!
