Beautiful basses! My first Bird was an ebony 1976. Of all the basses I have owned that is the only bass I truly miss.

It is pretty sweet, especially not having the snapped headstock/repair, and the chrome is in decent shape. If only I had the cash/wasn't saving for some 4x12s...

Unfortunately as the value of my '77 rises so do the prices for '65s.I wonder why they put the Jack on the side instead of the front on the Vintage Pro?

Good question. Most people don't care. Side jacks do prevent cracked tops that are a sometime problem. I always use an angle jack to help prevent that. Reverse wings are pretty thin above the control cavity.
