Thunderbird Club

A friend in need, is a friend indeed... :)

I think it's safe to assume the owner plays in a band called Jane Doe... ;)

...or more than likely, played.

I found a YouTube video of them doing Crazy Train, no Tbird... then I found their FB page, they're putting the band back together with new members.

$1200.00 ain't bad for a good Classic White (which when new is a whitish cream and rapidly changes to a yellow that can sweat stain in the most wonderful way) , somebody jump on that one!

2K is too much for the Blackbird, it's not worth it.

The only problem with $1200 is that it's currently $1488.28 CAD + getting here (Likely ($140 CAD shipping)...

I've ventured off into funk and disco bass lines but I've stayed away from jazz... it's noise to me and unsettling. I find I really do enjoy learning, new to me, bass parts. The more the merrier and the time it takes me to learn new stuff is shortening greatly.

No Elvis to this point... my instructor is an under 40 guitarist metal head.

I grew up a hard rocker in the late '70s, we all hated disco. A couple of years ago I got a call to sub for a band that played a few disco songs. The bass lines kick ass! I gained a whole new appreciation for it. Learn the bass line in "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by A Taste of Honey for a real challenge. Killer.

The 16 year old me would be shocked at what I'm playing now. :D

And yes, you can play disco on a Thunderbird.

I hate the fact that some disco has good bass lines!

Check this out! Totally surprised to see this this morning.

I have to wonder if the love is gone or perhaps he's no longer able to play due to an injury or some such thing.

I'd get the blackbird, but as Tbird58 pointed out, it's too much for it. Thats 300$ less than when it came out (at least in the canadian market), if he'd g down to 1500$, and if i ever had the money, it'd be the first i'd pick up.

Thank you Mark! With the decline of the CAD dollar, it's just not worth it to buy anything from the US right now. I should come down for a visit and catch one of your shows soon, though!

We're in Pt.Angeles, Wa in May, catch the ferry at Tsawwassen to Vancouver Is., then the Blackball from Victoria - spend the night in PA at the Red Lion, all within about 3 blocks of the ferry dock, you can leave the car in B.C.
