Possibly out of trussrod threads. Just crank it real hard, should snap right off. Then you'll know it's toast.I mean...on the fly... right then. As I relieve pressure on the TR wrench, it springs right back! I've never experienced this before & it's kinda meltin' my cheese here...
Seriously, you do have the strings slackened and front bow applied, right?
