Going full on in that direction is how I clear rooms. You have to get way off into the indigestible fringe before I stop liking to hear it. That version of that song is a complete earworm for me. It's one I don't want to get rid of, but it hangs out.

No, just bass strings. They sometimes get mistaken for lines because they are straight until vibrating.

I haven't been listening to so much jazz lately because I don't listen to much of anything any more unless I'm figuring out how to play it. Some of the stuff I really enjoy is way beyond my capabilities as either a bass player or drummer, which means I'm not figuring out how to play it just yet.
The kid hasn't been on a record like Blue Train, and he's 27 already. Slacker! I'll be really happy when he turns 28. A couple of younger friends I used to play in a band with just turned 30, but we joked about being nervous until they turned 28, too. There was a big party for one of them. It was an open question whether she was going to do something nuts and join the 27 club. She didn't and has stopped the boozing that was going to cause her to accidentally kill herself. Victories are victories.

So very very hard to believe that in the short absence of Anderson the band Yes allowed the Buggles guy to handle the vocals, if you dont know that already be prepared to hear this guy do something great. Just knowing this guy sings on a Yes album was the reason that I owned every Yes album for years and hesitated in haste before I could give Drama a fair listen. End result _ I love it.
