Thunderbird Club

I woke up at 6am and was furious with myself. Being up at 6am is only punk rock if you haven’t made it to bed yet. Getting old sucks :)

I'm up 6 days a week at 4:30-4:45 AM. In my cubicle and logged in by 6 AM... YEAH ME! I bet you're all jealous. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I can't believe I've been doing this for 30 plus years already.

Oh and on the 7th day, I'm up around 7 AM so that I can walk my dearest Molly, a beautiful dachshund, and get on with making breakfast for my kids so we can start our day.

Mines still asleep and I’m jealous of her. Typically, I’m halfway through my first cup before it occurs to me that I somehow got up and made coffee :)

I don't know how to make coffee in my own home... she freshly grinds it and spoons in the proper amount the night before and sets the auto timer.

I'd honestly have to ask her for help if I were to make it for myself. I'm certain I could handle it after that but I haven't had a reason to look into it as of yet.

French press and 5 scoops of dark roast. I’m so slow to wake up in the mornings, anything more complex than that would just be way too much pressure :)
I make my own coffee and take out the trash. The girl does pretty much everything else. I can see the look of panic on her face when I attempt to make my own meal

I make that one meal a week on Sunday mornings... her indoors handles the rest. Pretty traditional roles over here and I don't mind. :)

Man, any of you ever roam outside of this club on TB? I don’t think I recommend it. Some of the most tragically desperate and heated debates about such riveting topics as...

“2 ohms allows the bass to open up.”
“Actually, it’s 2.67 ohms.”
“Well, in this case it’s really 2.668 ohms, so do your math before spreading such lies!”
“My $12,000,000 7 string gives me that 2 ohm feel even at 2.668 ohms.”
“I tried that same bass, but my $49 bobbyboo plays and feels way better”
And so on...
My favorite: "Thunderbirds are dull sounding and muddy at times" later IN THE SAME POST: "I play a P bass with some old, broken in flats"

I’m still a very new T Bird owner. Only done one rehearsal, one gig (different band) and recorded two songs on a record session (different band). Haven’t found the mud switch yet.

If you only knew what I can see now.....................

Fun fact - i’m From Walsall, the same place as Noddy Holder. In about 2000, the council got a huge lottery grant to build a fantastic new art gallery, and in order to celebrate local talent, they had Noddy record the voice for the lift!
I am a big Slade fan! I even had a replica of Jim Lea's bass built by John Diggens of Jaydee guitars. John built Jim's bass while working at John Birch. John got Jim to put up his bass as a pattern for my bass, Jim even autographed it for me.

Suhweet!

And oh boy, love to foray or into that GENERAL POPULATION, baby! Bored? Feeling saucy? Can be entertaining, long as you've got your mojo for it going on. If not, hey. Stay home (I mean here...).

Careful, you may be filing Kat with that...

I kid, I kid... but come on, this surely isn't news to her. :roflmao:

Another one of my favorites:

Heaven is where the police are British, the lovers French, the mechanics German, the chefs Italian, and it is all organized by the Swiss.

Hell is where the police are German, the lovers Swiss, the mechanics French, the chefs British, and it is all organized by the Italians.

So much in that... The Scottish dislike being referred to as scotch. They also dislike being called cheap, but will not pay to have that stereotype changed
