We Scots are frugal not cheap. If it ain't a deal I'm not buying. If I am handing out a $1 for something it better be worth $2

I thought the same thing. Out for coffee only happens when I'm out.

I live in both worlds. I have 2 different coffee makers at home and hit Starbucks on the way to work and sometimes if I'm running around on the weekend. I use Community Coffee at home (Happy that I can order it online) and I have the water/coffee ration sorted just right. I go to Starbucks because it is the easiest coffee shop to hit on my way in. I know they are not the best out there but they know me, what I want, and 98% of the time it tastes right. I do wish I had better options on the way to work.

I woke up at 6am and was furious with myself. Being up at 6am is only punk rock if you haven’t made it to bed yet. Getting old sucks

Same here. Kept trying to force myself back to sleep and it just wouldn't happen. I get up at 3:45 5 days a week. I always try to stay in bed til 8 on the weekends unless I have a reason to be up.

I have pretty thick skin too. Things/names rarely bother me.

My wife is Italian and loves the joke "When is the only time its okay to slap an Italian woman in the face?" When her mustache is on fire!!

Is it just the picture or is the neck on your '77 drastically wider than the VP? Mainly at the 12th fret.

If only visually, I do prefer that look to my 2014 Gibson, though I certainly don’t dislike the way it looks. For sound and feel, I’m quite enjoying my bass just the way it is, but someday soon, there will be more

Almost a 1/4" wider , I wish they brought back the wider fingerboard on the upper register. The 70's birds have the same width as the 60's birds. I'll get a exact measurement.

Dayum! Almost looks like the '77 is thinner at the nut though.
I remember Kingface posted a pic of one of his '79's that the nut was thinner than a Jazz neck. That's quite the taper.

My roommate is dutch. I've seen him pick up a penny.... pennies are no longer in circulation.
Although, in first year, he lived in residence (dorms, whatever you wanna call them), and part of the cost was a meal plan. You don't get the remainder back, so he would buy all of us lunch (5 people) until it was gone because he'd rather use it than it disappear.
