I shutter to think what camera analogies will be like
Oh I tried golf, my dad was amazingly good. A more frustrating use of time I can't imagine.Golf can be hit or miss with me. If it is a hit, I usually slice (see what I did there) it though.![]()
I always carry a pocket knife and a Zippo lighter. I have never smoked, both items were advice from my dad a WWII era Marine. A few years ago I got hassled by state troppers on the way home from a gig. Hauled out and patted down I had my trusty pocket knife in my back pocket, you'd think they found a assault rifle. Questions like why are you carrying a weapon, unbelievable. I calmly told them it's a tool not a weapon, it only becomes a weapon if I injured someone with it . Then I told them of my dad's advice then they backed off........a little.

Golf instantly turned me into an angry man, I was like the John Mcenroe of Golf. as my party waited for me at the clubhouse I could be seen rage swearing aloud to myself and dragging a pull cart with a wheel missing since the 7th hole, courtesy of my biggest wood and a sudden urge to modify something to pieces. That was one game, I had a short career.Oh I tried golf, my dad was amazingly good. A more frustrating use of time I can't imagine.

Crap...
Jamie is really sick this morning...food poisoning from the symptoms. I decided to head out and get her some things while she’s asleep, and stop off to get some huevos rancheros for myself. About finished with breakfast then realized I’m wearing my shop clothes that contain no wallet or money of any kind :/
This is going to be an embarrassing conversation

This is referred to as "enhanced throughput"Driving the porcelain bus would be the wrong end ... unless you were really sick ... or even worse, needed a bucket as well.
He had huevos rancheros, sounds like he made a run for the border. Can't catch a break! Just make a break for the door
(Word play was honestly not intentional)
Oh dang, hope she's ok.

Vince! If you're gonna go outside... wipe that sh!t off yer shoes before ya come back in here! All I can say is WOW! I didn't even finish the first page. But from what I did read, not a single person was defending Thunderbirds! Don't know how I ended up there, but I hope I never end up there again!
Gibson Thunderbird IV

It was like an alien abduction, I was cruising the interwebz, next thing I know I'm reading some harsh Thunderbird hate mail... then I was back here!Vince! If you're gonna go outside... wipe that sh!t off yer shoes before ya come back in here!
I'm sorry... did you say 1 7/8" nut width???I got around to comparing the necks on my VP and '77 Thunderbirds. The VP is 2 1/4" at the bass of the neck, the '77 2 7/16". Width at nut is identical 1 7/8". The '77 at the nut is much slimmer front to back especially at the nut, the flat surface of the headstock travels almost 2" into the neck profile where on the VP it doesn't travel into it at all and that's a good thing, it leaves more material at what we all know is the weak point on Thunderbirds. A few other observations. I have had any number of 76-79 Thunderbirds, most I could never get the action low enough, even with the bridge down as low as it could go. With their very thin necks and a truss rod not up to the job I have never been able to get the neck as flat as I like. Bicentennials came with Gibson Flat wounds most of us yanked the immediately and slapped Rotos on, the necks didn't like the increased tension.
