Thunderbird Club

No, the reason is you're male, Italian (at least on one side) and live at home. Hopefully you'll never have to learn because more than likely your sauce will never be as good as your grandmother's.

That could never be said for my grandmother. She should have been tried at The Hague for crimes against food. Cabbages and beans would whimper in fear when she passed by.

Man, any of you ever roam outside of this club on TB? I don’t think I recommend it. Some of the most tragically desperate and heated debates about such riveting topics as...

“2 ohms allows the bass to open up.”
“Actually, it’s 2.67 ohms.”
“Well, in this case it’s really 2.668 ohms, so do your math before spreading such lies!”
“My $12,000,000 7 string gives me that 2 ohm feel even at 2.668 ohms.”
“I tried that same bass, but my $49 bobbyboo plays and feels way better”
And so on...
^^That made my Ohms hurt from laughing :roflmao:

I am a big Slade fan! I even had a replica of Jim Lea's bass built by John Diggens of Jaydee guitars. John built Jim's bass while working at John Birch. John got Jim to put up his bass as a pattern for my bass, Jim even autographed it for me. View attachment 2845039
Dig Slade- got to play Gudbuy t’ Jane for a couple gigs recently, so much fun to scream that dumb chorus

I'll take your word for it... never developed the taste for Scotch. Vodkas and Rums are where I go when I'm not drinking Pilseners.

The best of Canada, right there!
Completely opposite tastes are funny - I can’t do vodka or rum straight and light Pilsner is not my favorite beer, but i’ll drink scotch or bourbon, tequila and IPA all day long.
You grab some Tito’s and i’ll Take a shot of Corazon and we’ll toast the Thunderbirds and All be happy

I can't do IPA's anymore. I used to like them.

No kidding. I am a beer drinker at heart. No aficionado, I can’t name specific micro brews that are my favorite, but always try new beers whenever I can.
But it seems like when you go to a brewpub these days, it’s like they have 1 porter, a bud light knock off for the ladies and drunks, and 47 IPA’s on tap.
When did IPA’s become the gold standard of beer? I can appreciate a hoppy beer now and then, but I can’t drink them all night. Thank god for bourbon.

They got popular because they were different. Then is became a race to put the most hops possible into the beer, and ended up making something that tastes like pine needles brewed in cough syrup. I've gone back to stouts and ales for the most part, with some others mixed in. I've become pretty fond of Founder's Brewery, Left Hand, New Belgium (best known for Fat Tire) and a few others.

After this description I guess I got me some listenenin to do when I get home tonight
Wish I could be there with ya!

Hmmmm. There's probably a pretty good story in there. If not, we can make up a pretty good story.

It's the same old tale Will, overindulgence. It leads to the Queen to the bathroom talking to God on the big white telephone. :vomit:

Damn dude! Nice job! Looks like you & your 'bird are getting along splendidly!

Hehe, that’s really funny beacause I was not planning to buy another bass, especially not Thunderbird, but I remember someone here wrote that you don’t choose ‘Bird but it chooses you, that’totaly true. It was impulsive buying but it was worth it :D

Thunderbird have that quality like string to string volume and tone is so consistent like in no other bass I ever play, love that inherited natural compression and of course dark huge low mid growl.

A Canadian beer called Nickelbrook. Too close to a Canadian band everyone loves to hate, so I guess I'll pass on that beer.

My sentiments exactly! :)

The only Scotch that has ever been of use to me.

Same here... Not a fan of the same name alcoholic beverages...

I had surgery on my left thumb for Tenosynovitis. Check in, prep, procedure, & check out was a total of about 3 hours. Recovery was about a week of being certain to bump the thumb on every available object possible, and then life was pretty much back to normal. It's about as UN-invasive as a surgery can get. It's only a tiny smidge as invasive as carpal tunnel surgery. You know what's better for you than anyone... butIMHO, I would encourage you to just get the procedure done & get it over with, rather than taking pills or injections, or any of that.

I’m with Fixer on this... Get the procedure done and get it over with...

We are not a thunderbird club with drinking problem, we are a drinking club with a thunderbird problem.

Problem??? What problem??? :D

Touché! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

The more I look around for more ‘Birds, the happier I am with the deal I got on mine. But to be clear, I need another one. Or two.

But of course, you do... ;)

Marriage! I overcommitted, over complicated, and found out I was definitely NOT prepared!

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I am enjoying a delicious glass of water.

Hhmmm... ;)

I think it may be a hipster thing with all those IPA’s...

Mmmmm.... Stouts... :D

Been there, and done that WAY more times than I care to admit in my young days...
