Nothing against a P bass with flats or anyone who plays one, if it works in your context Im happy for you, I just find people how say that that is the best tone there is but also claim TBirds to be dull to be ironic in a very annoying way
Yeah... ya gotta learn to let that go, and here's how:

The moment you read a thread or posting and figure out it's a stereotype or unsolicited opinion, it is automatically non-fact based. Once you've established that... you can choose to walk away knowing that you're not missing out on anything of consequence... or you can proceed knowing that nothing you're about to read is of consequence. Either way, the posting in question, is nothing more than a fart from a stranger. Breathe deep or get the hell outa there... but do NOT let it have anymore of an affect on you than THAT!

Mines still asleep and I’m jealous of her. Typically, I’m halfway through my first cup before it occurs to me that I somehow got up and made coffee :)
That's the ritual around here. I get up, make coffee, get about halfway through the first cup, then she comes down to the kitchen. As long as she's happy, I'll keep doing it. (Plus, I'm old - I'm usually up at 5:30 am.)

If it isn't Single Malt, it isn't Scotch :woot:
I'd post a shot of my bottle of Bowmore 12 Year but it's almost empty, which doesn't make me happy.
The only Scotch that has ever been of use to me.

Interesting comments on the VP necks, I've been playing mine quite a bit, it's definitely thicker front to back than a Post'88 Gibson. I work a little more to play it, compared to my '89, so between the two the Gibson plays easier - This is just my opinion, for a 6' 1" human I have smallish hands and aside from the fantastic tone, neck size has always been something I like about Gibson Thunderbirds.
