Looks like the feral cat has been domesticated.... :)

I occasionally forget to close the door and he wanders into the house. As soon as I'm aware he's inside I put him out. Hasn't clawed or sprayed anywhere I can tell. Still sleeps n the tree. When it gets near freezing he sleeps under the house.

Why do they do that (clipping the ears)?
Shows they've been neutered. There are feral cat colonies that have all been neutered and are fed regularly by volunteers. When they see one without a clipped ear they capture it, have it fixed and clipped and return it to the colony. Humane population control.

Merry Christmas to all!

We had between 10 and 15 cm of snow over night (that's 4-6 inches or thumb widths to those in the renegade colony) so we have a nice white Christmas.

I still have a couple of hours before my daughter shows up. I will again this year eschew putting up a tree. We will go to Granny's for the day, so I see little point in it, and last year, I was so busy I just didn't have time. My daughter took it in stride last year and this year is just fine with it.

Curious. What's everyone running for pedals? I switch back and forth between the Ampeg SCR-DI and the Behringer Sansamp clone. I'm running my Pro IV through a mini-mega and a pair of Hydrive 4x10's. The Ampeg sounds thin in a band situation, while the Behringer is nice and thick but seems quite dark. Any other suggestions. Mostly playing classic rock, old school r&b.

Happy Christmas everybirdy!

Started hanging out here before my first ‘Bird adopted me. Learned a lot, still learning a lot. Had some great conversations with a bunch of you here and privately. Each one has been a pleasure. Thanks for the kinship!

Personally I just use the preamp in my amp, especially with my Bird's. Any pedals I use are for effects, even my B7KU, which I'll use as a little boost if there's clean and dirty parts in a song (I'll dial the amp back a bit in this case). I'll use the distortion section of that pedal for really heavy distortion.

Amps are Mesa D800, Mesa M9, Reiner 6SL7 tube pre w/ poweramp. Soon to be augmented by a Traynor yba 200-2. Cabs are sealed 18, sealed 212 or greenboy F212. Only pedal I’m currently using is a Reiner Gasoline OD.

I have a Tech21 Red Ripper because L&M were selling them for C$100 new (that's like U$70 - crazy cheap). When I want fuzz, it offers a rather unique fuzz. I have an EHX Bass Preacher which fattens up the sound nicely. I also have an MXR 10 band EQ because a little practice amp doesn't always cover the bottom well (run with that one guys). Finally, I have a Zoom B1on that can give me amp models/other effects if I want them (at C$70 again, crazy cheap for what you get). The EQ and Bass Preacher are always on, everything else is as needed.

I wanted to be up before everyone else. There's a nice calm about it. Have a wonderful day all. It's a good time for coffee, and maybe a shot on the side.

Im going to the dysfunctional sister in laws who lives with her dysfunctional boyfriend so shots are required to get me through this troublesome event, maybe when I get back home I can freshen up with coffee and curl up on my recliner to the yule log burning video and digest a psychological self help book while an incense stick fills the air with aroma therapy. Have a great day Bro!.

Darkglass Vintage Ultra does a near as damn it impersonation of the Traynor YBA200. It replaced a Sansamp VT Bass DI which never seemed to work for me.
