Thunderbird Club

hey guys i have a custom bass coming in soon that is loosely based on the T-Bird. do any of you have experience with the EMG thunderbird pickups?

I have a Jackson Thunderbird with EMG pups and preamp, does that count?

Mine had wear marks on it just getting shipped to me packed in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box.

That might be the weakest vinyl ever created! No wear protection at all! :roflmao:

Did you get your strap, yet?
Sorry Larry didn't see the last part of your post. My strap will be here Friday!! Can't wait since we have a show on Sat.... First show with the Classic Pro, can't wait to hear it.

Of all the amazing Birds in your collection, including the mind blowingly awesome Lull (I messed with one at Corner Music in Nashville a while back. "Wow" is a pretty apt description) the Jackson is the one I'd want the most.

It is a pretty cool bass, the neck profile probably isn't everyone's cup of tea ( I get on with it ok, a Gibson neck is still my fave) its extremely well made - what's surprising to me is that I don't believe they command much price even tho they're quite rare.

Hi there, no, I totally don't. I haven't heard anyone else talk about them at all recently. Is that what you're going to put in it? Let us know how they sound.
Ebay classic should be in sometime today. It's loaded with emg actives. Should be interesting. Crossing fingers the fretboard is still attached. Ive had 3 various basses come in with a lifted fretboard.
