I'm having a NBD as well.
Pics tonight.![]()

Jeez, you guys!
The Queen thinks some of you "may" have a problem![]()
Until my Dan Armstrong is paid off, I'm OUT of the gear market. That BSF pedal is that last thing for a while that I'm buying. I am trying to sell a guitar to buy another guitar, though...
In the motorcycle world it's not cool to ask to ride another persons bike. It's fine if they offer but never ever ask to.Ebay classic should be in sometime today. It's loaded with emg actives. Should be interesting. Crossing fingers the fretboard is still attached. Ive had 3 various basses come in with a lifted fretboard.
Liar!
BTW Geoff, we are booked out in Pt Angeles for May 15,16c at The Metta Room, it's right in downtown about two blocks from the ferry if you feel like a trip.
Yeah...not enough basses!Jeez, you guys!

Never bothered me. I can always say no. Its kind of a compliment I guess. Just don't ask to ride my lady or we'll have problemsIn the motorcycle world it's not cool to ask to ride another persons bike. It's fine if they offer but never ever ask to.
Is it like that in the world bellow Treble?

I've got a set of Dr Flat Wound Legends just sitting here. I took them off the thunderbird. So the classic is in. Pics to follow.
Had about 30 pounds of Styrofoam peanuts in the box which went everywhere (FYI packing peanuts are a dick move), broke her out and no damage. Tuned and plugged in and blecch...awful. fret buzz and a nasty twang on the top 3 strings.
Turned out the setup on the bridge was way off. Raised the action some and she came right back into line. Not an especially good job on the nut, but not causing any problems. Just looked like the guy didn't know how to set up a supertone bridge.
Tone still kinda sucked, replaced the 9v and POW! Came alive.
Very heavy sounding even with the crummy old rounds on it. Goes from very thick and bassy with the neck pup, eq full on, and tone about 3/4 rolled off, to round and mellow with bridge and neck centered eq backed off and a tad more tone. Gets pretty trebley if you want it to also. VERY hot pickups. Seems to have a bit of a mid scoop too.
Basically sounds like EMGs if you know what I mean.
Can't wait to throw some flats on, should sound killer.
Oh and its not vvt its v/blend/eq with stacked tone
I'm so friggin pissed right now! I'm driving home from Guitar Center so I'll post up later about exactly what went down.
Damn that sucks!!!!! I can't stand the fact that GC lets complete hacks show up and trash good gear. Any gear for that matter.Nope, it wasn't trashed in shipping. It was trashed by probably being demo'ed for the last year by every jack-hole that couldn't buy her.
I bought a brand-new 2014, 120th Anniversary Edition Gibson SG Bass in Chocolate-Satin. It was going to be my couch bass. Short scale and comfy for leisure play in the living room.
Here's how she looked as I opened the case.

There were more marks on her but those were some of the worse.
So the manager apologizes and I say it's not his fault and he gets on their computer looking for a replacement. None available. Period.
No Chocolate-Satin.
No Vintage Fireburst.
But he has a Cherry hanging from the high hooks and they pull it down for me. I really don't want Cherry but since he has one, I'll look at it.
Some f*#& nut took a pick to this Cherry bass and scored the heck out of it.
So that's it. No SG Bass for me at that awesome gotta buy it price. The search continues for my next bass.![]()
