Thunderbird Club

Really loving this Dunwich Bolt Thrower pedal a lot. Really want something spacey. Was set to grab a EHX Canyon, but we had our first snow/ice storm today, which throws all of Nashville into hysterical panic. Both my local GC and Sam Ash decided to close early. Space rock will have to wait a bit

To quote Ginger Baker... "If the water's not boiling, then tea, you have not" :rollno:

That's certainly true for standard black teas, including the Indian and 'Ceylon' blends to which he would be referring. So, when they bring you that sad pot of English Breakfast with barely warm water, you know it's going to taste like pish watter.

Hey @kat888 Wanna getcher Ronnie Lane on? Maybe the mod indoors wouldn't count it against yer three:D

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Not a lot of those knocking around. That may be a good price as well. Proper Ronnie is a Harmony, and I have looked for them in the past. Set on Birds now though.

That's a cool bass Fix. Only one problem with it though.............................

J pups? Are they not shorties as well? EDIT: no, 34"...

Ok... I just spotted the heaviest 4 string bass I've ever seen. It's a 1981 G&L L2000 fretless, claiming to weigh 11 pounds and 7 ounces! :wideyed: Can anybody top that? (I'm just curious)

The “Mothmann” bass springs to mind... ;)

New Robyn Hitchcock video released today. Harlowe, from Prayer Flags plays the bartender (he is a bartender at that club) and the ‘live’ portion of the video is actually an outtake from a Prayer Flags gig, but you only see Harlowe and a bit of the drummer.

I really like this, thank you for sharing it with us!
That's a very charismatic kitty.

Hard to believe it's warmer here in Seattle, it's 50 degrees and some shade of gray.

He’s made some cool recordings in his day, and clearly still is. He’s been living in East Nashville for a few years. Super friendly fella, weird as all get out, but I like him. Have had the pleasure of playing bass for him a couple times and he’s sat in with us.
That is so cool! I’ve been a big Robyn fan since the 80s.

Of course we need a demo.

A gigantic Seattle-based beverage corporation tried to get off the ground here, but the locals weren't having it. The only people who go to Starbucks are foreign tourists.
Funny, that's the same thing here.
Starbucks consistently has the worst coffee I've ever tried.
So far nothing beats Whitecastle coffee at 2:00 in the morning. Rumor has it, they filter the coffee through the holes in their skillet scabs. Best coffee & worst burger, both from the same kitchen. :roflmao:

On the infrequent occasions I drink coffee it used to be a macchiato, but they vary so much in 'interpretation' that these day's I'll order a cappucino as no one can get that wrong. No one but NO ONE can make a decent cup of tea outside the home in this country. Weird arse little tea pots with dribbly spouts and the water is always luke warm.
You would get along with my wife. She is very particular about tea. I don't drink the stuff.

Where I work, there’s literally at least three Starbucks shops within a five-block radius. I avoid it like the Plague. Awful coffee.
