Thunderbird Club

I am heading out of town for a week (New Orleans for the weekend then Mississippi to visit my mother) and will have limited internet access. Anyone want to place bets on how many new pages the club will get to by next Saturday?

Have a fun, safe trip Andy!

If they have one of those Dingwall D-Birds in, would love to hear about one of them.

They do, I'll see if I can't get them to plug it in for me - could be an interesting trip :D

The fanned frets will give you no trouble unless you stare at em too much. I had a Dingwall Super J. Gotta say, it played like a dream. Be interested to hear your take on that bass

I have more of a small forest creature caught in bright lights relationship with pedals. My first pedal (tuner) came in early 2016 -- before that I used a tuning fork!

I am fascinated and simultaneously repelled by pedals, and now that I'm down to three, which in the normal course of operations should all remain OFF, I think the fever has run its course.

I think this describes my approach to pedals as well. I love the "creative potential" that they offer but find the added complexity and decision making required to use them burdensome. That makes playing less enjoyable.

At this stage in my life and for the "basic rock" that I play, a really pleasing sounding Thunderbird is ticking all of the boxes. Even though my Orange, OB-1 has a built in dirt channel, I find I am using it less and less. We recently added a second guitar player so I am able to focus more on the the rhythm section aspect of playing rather than having to fill sonic space.

At least 60 pages = 1200 post... And that's probably not even close... :)

Hey guys, I have this in the gear for sale forum not getting much attention. I really need to move this. Epiphone Classic Pro modded with two Chinabuckers and my Badbird II bridge. Plays and sounds great. Only condition issue is three small holes where I moved the tailpiece. $350 shipped in the lower 48 states.
