That one wasn't meant to be taken seriously
That's really disappointing, then, that even the stock strings can't seem to get enough wraps around the peg. There must be extra long strings around, no?Yes. I have a set of DR Silver Star coated strings coming to replace them. I hope the coating doesn't make them too slippery for a one wrap tuner peg, better yet, I hope they are at least 60" in length then I can get multiple wraps.
Ah. Eddie Izzard has a great little bit on American vs. British pronunciations. That one wasn't meant to be taken seriously
If anybody is curious about the Eppi VP headstock size vs the standard Gibson size here's the two aligned at the nut...

The VP is about 1.5 inches longer (those of you subjected to metric scales can do the math).
No Problem with (L-R) Ken Smith RockMasters, BassBurners, RockMasters....with long scale strings that's "cutting" it a bit close in my book. No problems yet, but I have to admit it's always on my mind when I'm tuning that G string or digging in hard while playing.
Great deal. 8 Ohm GK Neo 412- light & loud enough with that head for many gigs and you can add another if you wish later.Just picked up a mint condition GK MB 500 for $395 shipped. Pretty happy. Now I've gotta figure out what cab to match with it.![]()
Not to stir the pot... but one thing to consider, is the idea of 1 - 4 ohm cab (like a 2x12) to get the full potential out of your amp, with one cab instead of two. I personally like the modularity of 2 - 8 ohm loads... but the option does exist.
3.84cm.
I did the maths. (Another regional thing, Oz says maths rather than the US math).
(Edit: I see Kat beat me to it.
It just jars in my head, worse due to cultural colonisation my kids say math. Argh!!!)
I have a 4 ohm GK Neo 410 and 2 X 8 Ohm GK Neo 412s- gives me lot's of flexibility.
Should just become the 51st state and be done with it, at least we'll get cheap bass gear! It's the least we should expect in return for the destruction of our language.
You misspelled it anyway. I should be Ahr.That one wasn't meant to be taken seriously
Are you talking about 'our community' our 'or that person' ?You misspelled it anyway. I should be Ahr.

The 12 sound a little sweeter than the 10s, I have both (and both are good).
Either one. It depends on how you swallow it into the back of your throat. That's one of those things only a rural American can do without permanent damage. Are you talking about 'our community' our 'or that person' ?
