Getting there... spent a few.minutes at my friend's shop, made a control plate out of the old pickguard. Gotta hit the beveled edges with a little wet-sanding, to get the white-ish burr out... I did the bevelling with a hand plane, wich I guess might do that to soft plastic.

Yup. I have a GK MB500, but here you're often forced to use the club's own backline.

An idea for @Count Bassie ... cut a shim and mount some gears on it, maybe even set in epoxy and use that to cover the exposed pickup wiring?
