Thunderbird Club

I like it!

Yeah Wilko Johnson has an album with Roger Daltrey that I’ve heard... and I like very much.

Afraid you'll like the 'Girls, Girls, Girls' album? And would be afraid to admit it?

Well... I’m not really a Motley or hair band fan, I took them as pale imitations of the stuff I liked ‘back in the day’. That has changed over the course of time though.
I have a greatest hits type cd which I like a lot ( and yes it did surprise me :) ). I saw them live once supporting U2 in Sydney (360 tour I think) and they were very good.

Contrast for Black Sabbath I was keen to see the support Rival Sons... and was very disappointed. No spark, just ugh.

Soundcheck is done!

Stage manager insisted bass players and drummers use provided backline. I have a world class bass rig a few feet away, but sure, I’ll play through ‘Baby’s First Ampeg’ to spare you the 5 seconds it’ll take to move a mic and DI line

The Cataldo looks so fine waiting on that stand.

The backline bastardry is the reason to have a preamp pedal ... 'just gonna plug in my pedal board man'.

Sometimes the supporting act is better ;)

The last time I saw Sabbath, the supporting act was just a DJ, wasn't very impressed either.

Might have worked ok here, but most places don’t have monitors that would make the bass sound any better

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. They have a cute logo, though.

Now THAT'S a good use example of the new DG AOU with cabsim. You can use your own cab as a sim, too.

Also, the question has to be asked, is there any point in micing and DIing that?

Ha! I know, right? It doesn’t sound bad, really. Just sucks that there’s a rig just out of the frame that is just right, but they don’t want the hassle

Hi guys, I'm new here and actually this is my first post on Talkbass :)
I'm a proud Thunderbird owner, I own 3 of them: The middle one is an Epiphone Classic-IV Pro (Called Vetrarbird) and my first bass (tuned D standard), the Standard-IV Silverburst (Stingerbird, E Standard) is my 3rd bass and 2nd Tbird and the Goth is my 4th and last bass (B Standard).
Right now I'm working on building a custom Thunderbird (we are going to change the headstock, logo and some other things). I was thinking about buying the Seymour Duncan Thunderbird Pups, does anyone of you ever tried them? Can you give me some infos about them?
