I am not sure whether Epiphone ever made a white bolt-on. You may have to refinish another color. The bolt-on 'Birds are cheap enough that it isn't a daunting thing to refinish, rerout, and do all kinds of things to one of those bodies.

Epiphone has made two different Limited Editions Alpine White Thunderbirds with bolt-on neck:

One with regular black hardware and one with chrome hardware and guitarsize pickups.

Billy Sheehan can play anything, and it seems he often does, all at the same time. But I can't imagine anyone has put more thought into his gear. No secrets here!

For some reason I was under the impression he was a bit of a flashy douche, but that video changed that - He seems to be a quite cool outspoken dude, who knows his gear and doesn't mind sharing his "secrets".

Well here, 'attempted delivery' means the bloke filled out a card saying 'you weren't home, pick it up after 1600' and stopped his van long enough to leave it in your mailbox. We watched him do it, more than once. And yes, I was that waspish middle aged sheila who expressed my annoyance to anyone within earshot.

They do the exact same thing here... You take a day off to wait for delivery, and by the end of the day you'll find a note in the mailbox, saying you weren't home when they tried to deliver - Either that, or they keep you on surveillance so they can "attempt" delivery the moment you're out of the house...

Yesterday I found a Thunderbird at my local pawn shop. After paying my debts I didn't have the cash to buy it outright but I was able to put it on layaway. Of course, it's not perfect but it looks great cosmetically and they gave me a guarantee. I think I stole it at $170.

$170 is fairly inexpensive for a quality used bass of any make so congrats!

Hey all, I'm pretty out of the scene for a bit, but I have to wire a pickup onto a pot so I can get my 'Bird back into action (pix will come). So, my question is, for a simple 2-lead connection to a vol pot with three tabs, which goes to which? And... if you're looking at the back of the pots, as they sit in the control cavity, how do you number the tabs- which is tab #1?

I don't have any details yet as I know pretty much nothing about Epiphones, but I promise to have pics when I get out of the pawn shop in a couple weeks. I couldn't believe it, it's my first non-Fender bass and I'm thrilled.

Hey, Roger!

I'm no help in this regard. When I swapped all the electronics on my first bass to a new undamaged body, I took lots of pics first and just re-soldered it all back accordingly. My only suggestion would be to find cavity pics for your bass and go from there. Using leads with alligator clips if you have them would be ideal so that you could robustly test your connection prior to soldering. Good luck.

Me too to a certain extent but I must admit if he played a 7ender in the Motley Crue days, I'd probably not be owning any of those. The TBird called to me irregardless of Nikki.
