Thunderbird Club

Quite the busy day today. About to get a haircut, then drop a new cab off to a customer. After that, loaning an upright flightcase to a buddy, then headed to an early soundcheck. 7pm show with Derek Hoke, pack up and haul a$$ across town for a 10-2 show with the Eskimo Brothers. The 2014 Gibson with Black Beauty’s has been working great with both bands, but I really want to take the Cataldo out for a test drive...decisions :/

That’s why you have the 2 bass Herc

I am with you on the sunburst! Let's get some stickers made saying we don't like sunburst.....:D

Hey! :rollno:

I would have been with you until my one arrived but it (this one st least) is very handsome indeed.

I was going to name it ‘Big Woody’ until the time I was wanting to show it off and started the sentence ‘Would you like to see my Big Woody...’

Didn’t quite sound right...

What was this, an episode of "BG CSI: Bass Guitar Crime Scene Investigation"?:roflmao:

Actually, there was an episode where Rascall Flatts was on, and the dudes pre CBS jazz was a piece of evidence that the tech was going to take a saw to, only to be saved by the doctor that knew his vintage basses. I know, kinda lame band, but it was probably the only time a bass was a talking point on a hit show.

Could start a religious war with that one, though I agree with you. :)

Frankie is thinking this subject should not come to a head. (Pun so intended).

Pre CBS Jazz? Now where did I put the hammer?

[Note for anyone visiting from outside Thunderbird Club -- I would never dream of desecrating a pre CBS Jazz. That would be an admission that it has some actual power over me.]

Also, the question has to be asked, is there any point in micing and DIing that?
That's the kind of question that results in me dragging a 360 onto the stage. No need for DI or mic or anything else with it, unless the venue is far larger than anyplace I have ever played. Plus, I rarely have FOH support to DI into anyway.
