WooHoo! Lighting seems to be much better than their backline.
Much better! The bass was awesome. Thanks again, Carlo!

Yeah, I thought they'd be blue too. " If you experience (cough) for more than four hours, consult your doctor". If I experience "that" for more than four hours, I'm not calling a doctor, I'm calling a priest because that's a freaking miracle. Not what I was expecting when I read 'old man drugs'
I don't know if I'd be calling a priest either...Yeah, I thought they'd be blue too. " If you experience (cough) for more than four hours, consult your doctor". If I experience "that" for more than four hours, I'm not calling a doctor, I'm calling a priest because that's a freaking miracle.
EhemI don't know if I'd be calling a priest either...
12/12/11 is probably San Diego legends Rocket From the Crypt, rather than "Tombs". That or they really were called "Tombs" and were ripping off a fantastic band.Yeah, but it’s a great place to see shows. And pretty close to where I live. I’ve seen lots of shows there.

Getting there... spent a few.minutes at my friend's shop, made a control plate out of the old pickguard. Gotta hit the beveled edges with a little wet-sanding, to get the white-ish burr out... I did the bevelling with a hand plane, wich I guess might do that to soft plastic.
But she's gittin' done!View attachment 2892535 View attachment 2892536
Going for the more trad metal stand-off cover I think. But matte black, a la Rustoleum flat-black rattle-can...Lookin' Good! Matching bridge cavity cover?
That's an interesting idea though... but I'm all out of old pick-guard!Lookin' Good! Matching bridge cavity cover?
Other way around.12/12/11 is probably San Diego legends Rocket From the Crypt, rather than "Tombs". That or they really were called "Tombs" and were ripping off a fantastic band.
That's because you aren't an old man yet.Not what I was expecting when I read 'old man drugs'
That's the same Embassy I posted about some 1600 pages ago (maybe three weeks back). Neck is BIG TIME back bowed and it has fret sprout in a big way all the way up both sides of the neck. That bass won't sell in that condition unless they pretty much give it away. The salesman told me that only 4 locations have em, and they only have one each. I kinda figured they’d be a hot ticket item. Then again, the only Embassy Pro they have had is sitting there still. That bass has such a bad setup and fretjob though. If they don’t do some tweaks, it’s gonna be there awhile. The VP is setup nice and ready to roll. Be shocked if it doesn’t sell real fast. I wouldn’t personally want one, but I get the appeal for sure!
Depends on where you start....if you never leave...
No, but I could probably still fit into them if I did.
I got them from Kid Rock's mom.
I don't know if I'd be calling a priest either...

I haven't seen anything about the other Gibson brands. Gibby skipped NAMM in favor of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) this year. I am curious if that will prove to be the right choice or not.I think I heard Gibson was skipping NAMM. Not sure if that meant no Epis as well. Anyone know?
I'd sell one in a heartbeat, though.Pre CBS Jazz? Now where did I put the hammer?
[Note for anyone visiting from outside Thunderbird Club -- I would never dream of desecrating a pre CBS Jazz. That would be an admission that it has some actual power over me.]
Did you sign it with a black marker?I once had a someone go home after our show to pick up her Epi Goth, and bringing it to the venue for me to sign it!
Never had that happen to me before...![]()
