Very, very dangerous.

... fools seldom differ.

Antonio
I hold the world but as the world, Gratiano—
A stage where every man must play a part,
And mine a sad one.

Gratiano
Let me play the fool.
With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.
And let my liver rather heat with wine

Merchant of Venice Act I Scene 1

Or, put another way - PARTY!

I like Shakespeare. All the minor characters are named after cold cuts.

Maybe a bit mellow for you crazy people, but I was just sent this clip from the Derek Hoke gig at Music City Roots from last Saturday. Funny to play such quiet stuff with these guys considering we’re all old punk rock skateboarders. Derek’s favorite band is Fugazi. The drummer, Steve Latanation, is probably best known for the 15 years he spent playing drums for Agent Orange. He’s also my dearest friend on the planet. We’ve been playing together since 1987.

Good stuff! Nice to see the Cataldo in flight, not just on a stand. It sounded perfect in that setting. I was hugely amused by Steve Latanation scratching his nose right after the last note. I wonder how long he was wanting to do that. You can't do anything like that when you are drumming. Keep 'em coming!

How bout a shout out to the cat on the Wurlitzer! Sounds great.

More ‘Bird content courtesy of Concrete Blonde (maybe someone posted this before I started hanging out). The singer, Johnette Napolitano, was usually the bass player, but they did one record and tour (at least) with a bass player. Johnette was great just fronting the band too. One of my all time favorite rock singers

Though Johnette had pretty good taste in basses too

Funny, I was taking a walk down memory lane last night and was groove’n to the “Still in Hollywood” video, when they were a trio, and she was rocking a J bass (oh, the horror ). Some bitch’n post punk.

I wanted to give a late (and lame) “blanket shout out” to all of the folks on our forum, who have scored new basses in the past few weeks. We have had Epi, Gibson, Cataldo, Dingwall and now a new Ric. Congrats!
