Ha! There is, or was a Billy Sheehan signature set of Rotos...totally weird set...43-65-80-110
He explains both the 43 (so he can bend the G on a 20 fret neck up to the second octave) and the 110 (so it doesn't get flabby when hipshotted to D). He'd probably explain the 80 if @Haji asked him.:)

He doesn't mention it in that vid but he also has vintage thin frets on the last few of them-to help intonation. It's on another of his gear reviews.

Never tried one but a nice price if they sound good. Never been sold on Eden's regular line but would like to hear this type.
Come to think of it, I was always kind of hit and miss with Trace Elliot stuff, but many folks think their tube V Type amps are the holy grail, so I guess you never know

There's one on Reverb, 2008 Made in China. I don't think I'd buy a 10 year old MIC 300W tube amp no matter whose name is on it. 2018, yes.

Dude can play his a$$ off and knows what he likes, so I’m not judging. I think his highest 5 notes or so have a scalloped fingerboard too. When you see him play it all makes perfect sense for what he does. I can’t personally remember a time when I thought, “man, if only I could bend these super high notes even higher...”

Could it simply be that for some reason the 80's tension balances better in that set than an 85?

Absolutely

I found this and this is what made post it...deems to be very "anti-Eden"...

Saw that. There’s a few videos of people talking about that amp, but none I could find of anyone playing it

The END of his fretboard is also scalloped. I am glad someone does this stuff so I don't have to try it.:)

I like skinny frets and believe they do intonate better. Pretty logical to me...the wider you make a fret the less exact the point of intonation as the crown radius gets bigger...unless you file them into a pyramid . Dunlop 6105 are the fattest I'm OK with.

Sure, but that’s a matter of opinion. If it’s true for you, then great, you’re done! I personally find it too slinky, but that’s just me, not everyone. Kinda like why they make different color shirts :)

Could be but why with a 45 65 -- 105 set. Seems they took a long time to decide an 80 was better. Did they ask JAE or Chris Squire? If not, let's dig 'em up and find out what they think!

Yeah, it was interesting hearing him talking about first doing it himself on his P Bass and screwing up some of the frets.

Well my point was about these strings in particular.
