Yeah, it's weird that the A is an 80, but whatever. I love the strings. It is what it is.Ordered another set of KS BassBurner strings for one of the Gibson’s as well as a set of Rotos today. Had to do a search. On most Roto sets I see in 45-105, the A string is .80, which I don’t care for. Too slinky against the 105 E. Found a set of nickels that are 45, 65, 85, 105. Hoping those work well. Still adjusting to non heavy gauge. Prefer 50/70/90/110
I trolled some jazz dude on FB for about an hour and ended it with that quote. He was so adamant about jazz being "real" music that I felt it was my calling to purposefully and blatantly push his buttons. In point of fact some of my favorite players are jazz dudes...but I wasn't gonna say that to the guy trying to be condescending.I'm in the same boat... I can listen to most music but please don't ask me out for an evening of jazz.

I just can't listen to it... I've tried to be open to it and it just doesn't connect.
Hi guys I’m new here on talkbass,
After a while as a strictly fender guy I always loved the look of the Thunderbird. I recently bought a Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird and it’s an amazing bass. Strung it with Rotosound 66s and it kills any fender bass Ive played. Plus my hero John Entwistle played one

With both Mr. Anderson (Neo), and John Wick... I think we can overlook Ted. At least I hope.
Scott's the man!
If you'd like me to add you to the club we just need a pic of your new 'Bird.
There's a suspicious lack of cat fur in that photo.![]()

Anyone ever used one of these? I generally don't care for Eden stuff...
People were saying a while back they really dig the aesthetic of a lot of big amps on a stage. I was watching Savages at Glasto 2016(?) the other day and thinking in the other direction. The stripped down, unadorned simplicity of the stage with a pair of guitar combos and a bass amp is perfect. To me, in a way, it makes the noise all the more entrancing -- how does all that come out of something so small?
YMMV

The standard Roto Swing Bass strings are 45-65-80-105 (RS66LD) - However they do make a 45-65-85-105 set as well (RS66LF).

It doesn't work for me, either. They're meant to be a very "clean" sounding amp; pretty much the Anti-Meatsmoke, Anti-SVT.I generally hate their stuff...can’t remember ever hearing that particular amp though

Never tried one but a nice price if they sound good. Never been sold on Eden's regular line but would like to hear this type.
