Yes, but it required some unusual wiring from my tech, as I recall.

Well… for the first one, I don't have anything other than what I'm sure is the most common mispronunciation.. "SEHkwim", with an alternative guess being "sehKEEM". Based on the videos that were posted recently of a hillside of yours after a snow/ice storm… I'm guessing the second one is pronounced "Pile-up"

Had the same problem, loved how the stock strings sounded on their own but hated how they refused to sit in a mix. Much much too bright for my tastes. Switched to DR Silver Strings (basically a Silver colored version of the Black Beauties). So far I'm liking them but they are low tension, not quite floppy but no where near as tight as the stock strings. They absoutly tame the top end and deliver the goods on the bottom end. Very little finger noise.

I feel i must now try these strings.

i have had some microbrew creations that were just fantastic and reminded me why I don't like cheap fizzy beer. But I have also had some microbrew beer that tasted like a$$, and not in a good way.

I assumed so when I bought them, but they feel like a lower tension version of BB to me. They sound nice but maybe even a bit more tame than the Black Beauties on my Stingray. These strings pretty much remove the grit and grind of the stock string VP and replace it with a grumble and growl. I'd put the stock strings up in the Cobalt round territory while the DR SS strings are more of a broken in Chrome round nickle sound with a TI tension. Actually, not far off of an Elixer Nano sound and feel.

My Epi VP now with Fender nickels- that's better.

Sounds pretty similar to my Gibson with the Chinabuckers to me. It also has Fender Pure Nickel Rounds on, but they are a bit older.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything to record with.

Yep, same coating. Not sure if they are the same metal or core or winding size though. The tension does feel less than BB strings to my recollection.
