Australia is remarkably flat. Even the Blue Mountains west of Sydney are an eroded plateau rather than actual pointy mountains.

Oregon in the USA has the Blue Mountains too! talk about a small world...

Well, all BBs I've seen have been round. Then again, I haven't seen all BB's.

It's when there's two, and only two. A single one is solometric, three is fewometric. Two is pairometric, spelled using the English Military spelling "parametric".

As opposed to when measuring counter-apple, then two of them are pearametric.

Here's me talking about it:

That’s a nice looking and sounding bass. But that hum from the bridge pickup... that would be a deal breaker for me. Or rather since it’s a new bass a “back to the shop, send me a bass that isn’t broken, please” scenario!

Did you get to the bottom of the problem? FWIW it didn’t sound to me like the EQ knobs was at fault. Much more like a serious earthing or other problem on that bridge pickup. Sounded more like when you swept the knob what you were doing was moving the parametric mid range onto the frequency where the hum was and then away from it. So the pickup hum was always there but just sometimes it was getting really boosted by the EQ.

Interested to know what happens with resolving the problem. That pickup shouldn’t sound like that and it shouldn’t have come to you with that problem. They’re called humbuckers for a reason... they’re supposed NOT to hum like that not to sound like an angry beehive!!!!

Are you saying you would rip the bridge pickup out or it is already ripped out?

One of the guys on Ozbass (Greg) from the Central Coast had a nice one for sale. I played it at the GTG. I don't think it has sold.

It might be rare and maybe worth the asking price but it isn't one of Ibanezs best bits of work. Given the bridge location it is short or medium scale. A Bach would be a better choice.

Oops my bad, my hand is covering the plate over the chiseled gouge for the added bridge pickup. Lemme see if I have a better pic.
