I spent a lot of time in port Angeles. Great little redneck town. Love that bbq Mexican place, Devils lunchbox, and that little Gastropoda there. Great Thai food place there too.

And then there's the needed version of their bridge to deal with the bolt holes on the Thunderbird.
1/4 plate is thick enough to conceal flat head socket cap screws that would mount the plate to the existing TBird threaded inserts, so yeah, that does make it a bit more complicated in that you'd need to drill and tap the new bridge screw locations so that they do not coincide with the flat head screw locations. Also the screws used to hold down the bridge would need to be a very specific length so that they don't go into the TBird's body. It's doable. Probably not worth the effort though.
Now THAT sounds like a fun night!!! I used to play a number of those tunes myself!Well, I'm off on a short trip out to our fave place, Pt Angeles, WA. to play Saturday night, I have Big Country an Alice in Chains to listen to during the 125mi drive.........

Seconded. Too bad I can't easily 3D print aluminum and such.Agreed. It’s a really cool looking bridge, but that sounds a lot like work :/

If you can get me the solidworks files, I might be able to help out.Seconded. Too bad I can't easily 3D print aluminum and such.
I don't know how to use that stuff at all. But it would be a fun group project to get a really cool bridge. I could see transferring the saddles from the Hipshot into this.If you can get me the solidworks files, I might be able to help out.

That's a great show! If he's not having a whole lot of fun (and tired at the end), there's something wrong with him. Throw in a couple odd meter Zappa tunes just to see what happens, especially when he's a little fatigued. That's always good for a few chuckles. How do you think it would look to have a bridge that didn't reach up as far as to cover the third bolt hole, and just leave the exposed hole empty or with a bolt in it?There’s a fun idea!
What a silly question - of course! He's playing with our Queen! So the important question is: Is the new drummer pretty?![]()
Here's the CD.

Yeah, same. Let's do something about it!Good question. I doubt it would bother me, but it could be a deal breaker for someone else.
Man, the more I look at that bridge the more I like it![]()
One of my assignments this semester is to design something, and 3D print it. I've been thinking about making a 3 point bridge that won't eject the saddles into another dimension, if the string breaks.I don't know how to use that stuff at all. But it would be a fun group project to get a really cool bridge. I could see transferring the saddles from the Hipshot into this.
I love Hipshot Bridges! Just getting used to it visually not being a 3 point. The older style bridges are rad too. I like the one on my Cataldo a lot. Super simple and works great
