I spent a lot of time in port Angeles. Great little redneck town. Love that bbq Mexican place, Devils lunchbox, and that little Gastropoda there. Great Thai food place there too.

I will be At Discovery Bay in August. It's a short drive to PA if your playing there at that date.
1/4 plate is thick enough to conceal flat head socket cap screws that would mount the plate to the existing TBird threaded inserts, so yeah, that does make it a bit more complicated in that you'd need to drill and tap the new bridge screw locations so that they do not coincide with the flat head screw locations. Also the screws used to hold down the bridge would need to be a very specific length so that they don't go into the TBird's body. It's doable. Probably not worth the effort though.

Agreed. It’s a really cool looking bridge, but that sounds a lot like work :/
Seconded. Too bad I can't easily 3D print aluminum and such.
So the important question is: Is the new drummer pretty?
If you can get me the solidworks files, I might be able to help out.
I don't know how to use that stuff at all. But it would be a fun group project to get a really cool bridge. I could see transferring the saddles from the Hipshot into this.

That's a great show! If he's not having a whole lot of fun (and tired at the end), there's something wrong with him. Throw in a couple odd meter Zappa tunes just to see what happens, especially when he's a little fatigued. That's always good for a few chuckles. (Spoken as the sometime drummer who has caused the derailment on occasion.)
Pretty Woman is typical Roy Orbison, because it has a random six beat bar thrown in. I Wanna Dance With Somebody is another one that's got the random extra count in it. Those are fun, too.
How do you think it would look to have a bridge that didn't reach up as far as to cover the third bolt hole, and just leave the exposed hole empty or with a bolt in it?

One of my assignments this semester is to design something, and 3D print it. I've been thinking about making a 3 point bridge that won't eject the saddles into another dimension, if the string breaks.
I'm sticking with my 3 point for the time being. It has a certain utilitarian functionality which appeals to me. That's not to say there isn't a Hipshot in the future. The 2 Cataldo point is rad -- has a certain 'fvck you' quality about it. It's my favourite.
