I spent a lot of time in port Angeles. Great little redneck town. Love that bbq Mexican place, Devils lunchbox, and that little Gastropoda there. Great Thai food place there too.

Indeed! It’s a great place, I’ll have lunch at the Gastropub tomorrow, dinner at Sabai Thai tonight, with pre funk at a really good Tap Room. After dinner we’re off to check out a local band that’s playing where we are tomorrow night

Exciting! My problem is that I find what makes the existing bridges go out of their ways to somehow accommodate that third bolt hole aesthetically unpleasing. I love Hipshot's 2-point SuperTone, but although I use and love their 3-point, that front bowing always bothers me.


Totally agree. I wish they had a 2-point with the same bolt spacing as the 3-point's two main bolts. Third bolt hole be damned.

I wrestled with this problem when I came up with the Badbird II. The three point hole pattern is just very incompatible in trying to adapt a two point bridge. The saddles are so far ahead of the two main anchors the third one is almost a necessity.

Funny, I was just on YouTube looking at some of the past clips I’d done. The clip with the most views by far is a ‘review’ of the Epi Embassy Pro I briefly had awhile back. Ironic since I didn’t much care for that bass

I have heard that ESP in Japan has a custom shop that will literally build you anything you can conceive of...if you can pay for it. If I got crazy Powerball type money ($500 million or more) I'd fly there and have them make me Haji signature models.

I like the way all of em sound too. I’m not a fan of the ‘shootout’ approach anyway. There’s no winner or loser. For myself, my least favorite is probably the stock Gibson, but that’s just me. Alexander Hacke plays a totally stock Gibson and I can’t imagine a better sound for him. The main difference in tone between the TB ‘66 and the Lollars may well be the strings as much as the pickups themselves. I’d still personally give the edge to the Lollars, but it also tells me there’s no way I’d consider changing the TB ‘66 in the Cataldo because it sounds fantastic to me, in a slightly different way

I probably shouldn’t have watched that! But the stock pickups still sound very good.

Giddy with excitement in anticipation of going to the luthier supplies shop and buying pickup foam and a truss rod tool.

Which shop? I didn’t get a truss rod tool with my Gibson,
(not unexpectedly.)

Except that I assume zero people in the US would know it, although Iron Maiden did a cover. I prefer the Skyhooks original but that’s me.

Here is the HD version of the original. It’s originally from 1978, the year I turned 16... hmm... a long time ago, haven’t heard it for ages.
Written by the bass player, mostly used Fenders but did use a couple of Rippers for a while.
Singer Graeme ‘Shirley’ Strahan unfortunately died when the helicopter he was piloting crashed into a mountain (during a storm from memory).

Very different vibe to the Iron Maiden cover.

@RedVee, it's Sydney Guitar Setups on the corner of Parramatta Road and Nelson Street in Annandale. They only had the 5/16 Gibson version, so it's a good thing it fits! I'm struggling with one of the 3 point ferrules coming out at the moment. I tried shimming it but it still pulls up. I worry about splitting the body if I stuff too much packing in.

This one has been rewired with Chinabuckers and is ready to find a new home.

I had one pull up on me that had been shimmed and glued. Closer examination revealed that the hole was (what I would guess to be) about a quarter inch beyond the required depth, so I ended up adding 2 more shims & a half tube of Gorilla brand super glue, then I clamped the stud in & let it sit for 3 days before restringing it. It hasn't popped out since (I'm guessing the rest of the body will rot from around it before it does).

Yer 'bird's lookin' mighty spiffy if ya don't mind my sayin' so
