Thunderbird Club

Oh, I so love the GP. But instead of popcorn, I offer this. Only 4 slices, first come, first serve.

 You guys are killin' it!
Speaking of killin it - I was just playing my FrankenGoth and by God, this thing really is killin' it!

It's not my first choice for playing a solid bass line, that goes to the hard rockin Gold Anniversary bird, which is deeper and darker and bolder. And it's not my first choice for pic style playing, that goes to the VP with DR SS strings, which cuts through a mix like a Gost Busters Proton pack through butter. But by God that Goth has an extra special quality when it comes to solo, chord and harmonics work. Even with La Bella Black Tapes (no they're not wrapped in electric tape) it just plays with a degree of focus and clarity the others don't have, nearly baritone guitar like . If I had to sit down and write music or noodle out a bass line on a favorite song I'd use this bass.

It's so much fun to have choices and different tools that deliver unique and perfect results.

Ok, we all have different hands and that makes us all sound a bit different from each other. I get that and it’s awesome. But how many gear threads do we need to read some (not so) humble brag where someone states that their hands are so magical, they can get their exact ‘sound’ on any rig, anywhere and every time. I’ve heard a couple of those guys...their tone is lifeless and dull. No wonder it’s so easy!
Still grumpy from the bike ride :)

The solution...
A piezo pickup stuffed in each nostril, connected to in ear monitors! Then you're guaranteed to get the sound in your head, at least until your skull explodes from the never ending feedback loop.

Edit: looking for a volunteer from the GenPop to test this theory on.

Did what was supposed to be an easy going 23 mile bike ride with a buddy an hour ago. Then a racer pal wanted to join us, but promised he’d go easy on us because he was still tired from the 100 mile ride he’d done yesterday. A few minutes in, one of his racer buddies joins us for our leisurely spin. Next thing I know, I’m at the back of a paceline doing 27mph and hanging on for dear life, trying to catch some draft. Still hallucinating from it. So much for building up slowly! Oh yeah, definitely taking the Traynor to the gig tonight...are those kokopellis I see in my kitchen?
And I, Bruno, will dive onto a bag of wet cement!

On my head yet!!!!

I'll have to enter this territory you all call rounds then. With a pic?, got my work cut out for me.

I use nickel rounds (Balanced Tension D'Addario XL's) and they deliver for my playing style which is mostly using a pick (w/palm muting incorporated) and finger-style when required. I think I have NYXL's on my T-bird. (also nickel) GHS Progressives also are nice strings.
