Your Delta Tau Chi name is definitely Fuzzbow.Better fuzzbow than fuzzbrow. Maybe.
Thank you, I guess what I have learned through the years is there are many T Bird tones and none are the "true" tone, though the mid 60s is the Holy Grail. That is the same for Rickenbacker. I have never played a 60s Rick, but my 1974 Rick 4000 has a HOT and snarly PU, and I am always surprised when I played 80s to current Ricks that the bridge PU never sounds quite like my 4000. I had a US made Gibson T Bird and put Lull T Bird PUs in it and they sounded a bit quieter and less "dark" than the modern T Bird PUs, and these Epi 760s seem to capture that sound pretty well. EXACTLY? I will never know, but perhaps it is safe to say they approximate original T Bird PUs pretty well. Or am I off the mark? MARK???![]()
LOVE those amps! Prices a tad high and local pickup only (ehem)
Buck Owens was a gentlemen. No hats indoorsGreat outfits. They just need matching hats.
I tried like hell to hate 'em when I was a teenager... but it was a front. For me it was the vocal harmonies more than anything else. They wormed their way into my brain, and are still there today. I believe my head would've exploded if Emmylou Harris hadda been added to the mix!I used to hate this stuff as a kid - mostly because “Hee Haw” was a viewing staple in our house. But as an “adult”, I have come to appreciate how influential the Bakersfield sound was and that “Dangerous” Don Rich was the country version of Keith Richards, as a side man, in helping Buck Owens be the Mick Jagger of country in his day. Owens wrote some corny/campy stuff but even the Beatles covered his work (“Act Naturally”). Those outfits were part of the campiness.
I think the so called “cow punk” of the 80s and early 90s helped my appreciation of the chick’n pick’n of Rich and others.
I believe that the Telecaster Rich is playing in that clip has a story behind it. I only learned this, when doing some research before having my sparkle P bass paint job done. Owens and Rich were gifted a couple of Teles, with sparkle finishes that apparently had some unique ingredients.

How wonderfully polite and civil this group is that someone would take other members into consideration, while in gear acquisition mode. Well played, sir. I hope that you score a great deal!Just want to check that I am not crossing anyone here by bidding on the Cataldo Fenderbird that goes off on eBay later today. Let me know if there is a problem.
You are welcome.Definitely Fuzzbow is a better band name than Mathilda Saturdays. Thanks Will.
Emmylou Harris had that kind of effect.I tried like hell to hate 'em when I was a teenager... but it was a front. For me it was the vocal harmonies more than anything else. They wormed their way into my brain, and are still there today. I believe my head would've exploded if Emmylou Harris hadda been added to the mix!
The advantage of playing original heavy music in this town: No place downtown books us, just the dives in East Nash, Hendersonville and the like. Easy load ins from empty parking lots.If I lived where you live, I’d rethink my rig for sure, especially since I already have to drag an upright to most of my gigs. Nashville is getting more and more crowded, but it’s still easy enough to own a car and haul your gear to the gig
More fuzzbow than fuzzbow...Your Delta Tau Chi name is definitely Fuzzbow.
all fixedEmmylou Harrishadhas that kind of effect.
Nope, I think he actually meant his friends old dot matrix printer. His buddy's Epson is pretty well worn out by now.![]()
Great outfits. They just need matching hats.
Proof that I’m old and worn out...couldn’t remember how to spell the name and too intimidated to “ask the google” to spell it for me
Yessirree! Are those what they call "nudie" suits?
