Scott had mentioned the new tuners now have tapered posts. Too bad they went that route. Prefer non tapered.

Me too. A couple of people have flipped out the old stock VP tuners for ultra lights that look more like the original TB tuners. If I had the tapered ones that's exactly what I'd do.

I'm a stickler about tuners in general and I would do exactly the same. It's only an aesthetic thing as the tapered tuners work fine and can be had for cheap - which is why they are on many, many, many cheap basses. It's a detail on the VP that I would address if I bought one.

I love the specs on this cab. I swear Kat, i'm a good boy, i never push the envelope. I'll be getting one of the Broughton HPF's in time. I always roll off quite a bit of low end anyway.

It's slightly larger than my SVT212AV and 50% heavier -- no shrinking violet then. Was going to suggest an HPF.
