No they didn’t, Gibson didn't revisit the nonreverse till 2013.
I have to admit, while I have been deriving a great deal of vicarious enjoyment from people's VP NBDs, I had something of a 'Damascene' moment a few months back when I decided Epis were not for me.

Didn't know any of the T-bird's out there had tapered wings like the '63-'65 (does the Gibson 70's RI version have tapered wings?) ...and under 9lbs
