Scott brought up a good point about the bridge being set forward on the CP, making the neck shift forward, eliminating reference points.
It's harder to tell in two separate pictures, unlike your picture which was one side by side, but it looks like the bridge is at least 1/2" (millimetre... what's that? oh ya...12.7mm). Depth of cutout might be the same, but I think the lower bout is definitely angled down more on the CP.
I agree with Hillerup about the angles being different all around.

That's what I kinda was trying to relay: The cutout is more or less the same, but the lower wing is shifted slighly backwards in regards to the centre block, which gives better access to the higher frets.

To the naked eye it sure looks like the cutaway is deeper - Or at least the lower wing is shifted slightly backwards compared to a Gibson

To my eyes it appears that the upper bout starts at the 15th fret on both basses, whereas the lower cutaway starts at the 16th fret on the CP and at the 15th on the Gibson.

Also the rear end of the two have different angles with the CP having a more vertical slope to account for the lower wing being shifted more backwards than on the Gibson - That would also account for the bridge appearing to be slightly more forward than on the Gibson.

If you take a close look on the pictures, it seems that bridge is more or less in the same position on the upper wing on both basses, but not on the lower wing.

So at least on my CP the neck seems to be in the same position as on the Gibson - only the lower wing is shifted backwards...

The bridge is clearly moved forward on the Classic Pro, this in turn means that the whole scale length has also moved forward.

Tech nightmare this week...the ol’ iMac keeps giving me the beach ball of death...can’t finish sessions or mix projects. Ordered a new computer last night. That hurt! Then yesterday I did a 32 mile bike ride and at the end, discovered my phone had fallen out of my jersey pocket! Went home and jumped on my iPad and used the ‘find my phone’ function and it worked! My phone was about 9 miles away and I got it. That was lucky

Yesterday morning I was up at 6a.m. to meet the seller for the HT322. But what I failed to realize was all the traffic I was going to hit from Totowa back to Queens. Almost 3 hours worth of stop and go. Just from there. Once I dropped off the cab at home I had to get back out to Jersey. Almost another 2 hours worth. Didn't lose a phone, nor did I get in any excersise. But the end result was worth it. The Berg slays the 810.

"Find iPhone" saved my son's cellphone from the city dump when I was able to locate it in the school's dumpster prior to the dumpster getting collected. That was an adventure...

Not necessarily. The scale could be the same but the tuners could be further from the nut.

Amusing aside - as a teenager many years ago, a few days after I got my first real stereo, a neighbour says to my Dad "I hear your son has a new stereo"

That wouldn’t necessarily mean the scale length was different. The length of the binding posts to the nut and the strings anchor past the bridge could account for the extra length on the Classic. Do they both have the three point bridge? The best way to check is to measure the distance of the nut to bridge.

Totowa, lol. An old favorite (not). That section of Rt46 east is an adventure at pretty much any hour.
On a similar note, I recently had to pick my son up from a concert in NYC. I got into Fun City early and figured on circling the block(s) to kill time until he was ready. Well, my sense of direction said "make a right at the next corner and head back". Unfortunately, the "next corner" turned out to be a rather poorly marked entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, so it was a short trip to Weehawken and another $15 to get back to where I needed to be.

I did a quick test to make sure the cab was functioning as it should. I think they know. I'm not in the dog house as of yet as far as I know. If there's no eviction notice taped to my door on Sunday, then all is good. I hope.
