Cheers Larry, I am extremely happy with the end result. I got all 3 plates (scratch/truss/cavity) for £40, which i thought was grat. He didnt initially have a t-bird layout/ template on his page but he soon created a mock up for me, without any pictures, just my description. The end results were as good, if not better. They are clear perspex printed on the rear so extremely durable. Email Tim, he is really helpful. I sent my plates off, but you can just scan them at high res and email them to him. He said he can do any design, and i asked about the gold bird on the plate. He said it would be close to gold, but not quite as its printed. I am going to get some decals for it ;) can you send me all of the details again, as i need one ordered. Love it when a plan comes together

i got my goth through a trade for a neon green dean custom zone bass... i originally made the neck fretless, then realized i hate fretless and a user on me sold me their fretted epi neck (not from a goth)... i just sanded it down to paint it a darker green, then will put a supertone and emg35 pups in... cant wait for it to be done

Im a firm believer in selecting a strap that complements a specific bass or carries out a theme that fits with the look of the bass. That sir, is the perfect strap for that bass! Well played!

Gigbags- a great subject for T-Bird owners. My first Goth Bird came with the hardshell case, so it's covered. My Sunburst Bird came with a gig bag (which is actually a little too big for the bass) but there are no brands marked anywhere on this bag...so out of luck trying to locate another one. I saw someone selling a Gibson T-Bird (ma have been on ebay) and they were selling it a RoadRunner brand gig bag and saying that while it fit, it was a tight fit. I have one of those bags (My LeCompte Bird is in it) do I decided to see if the Silverbird would fit. It does but you have to stretch the top over the headstock. Then for giggles I decided to try one of my Fender branded bags, and guess what, I was able to get the Silverbird in the bag and with a little effort, stretch the top to get the zipper over the headstock.

At least I know now that I have a couple of options for transporting the Silverbird this weekend. Planning on taking two T-Birds to the Saturday night gig. And I get a bag for the Silverbird at a later date.

I think this is the current equivialent of my RoadRunner bass bag.

The Classic fits well with the extra bottom padding removed (it's stuck in with velcro, so removal and replacement is super easy.)
