Thunderbird Club

...I played the Epi for a few minutes today. It felt really strange after not having touched it in several weeks. Must find a suitable box for it and put it up on eBay.

That's how all my basses feel to me when I pick them up, as there can be month between me picking one up, when the band doesn't have any future gigs at hand...

Hopefully that will change, when we move to our new house and I have a music room... :)

You tap on the glass at the aquarium too I bet...

Especially the ones with the Piranhas in them... :)

Most animals* don't have a sense of proportionality so don't torment an animal that you can't beat in a fight to the death.
*may include some people

Well, all I have to say to the "I hate everything Gibson" crowd is...

I don't have a light bar yet. I'm behind.

You have the flanger before the filter. I have the filter right after the tuner/receiver and before the fuzz. It probably doesn't make a difference, but, I would like your opinion before deciding that's a true fact or an alternate fact.

It's always worth experimenting with pedal order. They'll sound different in different orders, which could be good or really really bad.

It is very different. Pretty fun to goof around with the order. Just horse traded my way into 3 more pedals coming my way. Trying to figure out how to do my ‘single source’ thing live. No backing tracks...gonna be a fun challenge

Have never used pedals. Where would you start? Compressor? Chorus?

I’ve never been a pedal guy in the past, so there’s someone here more qualified to answer that. Still learning and trying different things. I also just do artsy fartsy noisy crap :)

I use one-EH Micro POG when playing three piece during guitar solos. Fattens it up.

I’ll bet! I might put together small board for a couple live bands I work with. Right now I just have one large board with too many pedals on it that I patch for whatever noise I’m trying to make

Try one or listen to a demo video. It makes some amazing"noises". And,no, I don't work for EH.

Not a huge pedal guy - I use them very sparingly - but those are decent choices. I have both (actually, I ditched my stompbox chorus in favor of the one that is built into one of my heads). Another one you might want to consider is a parametric EQ. Really gives you some flexibility with the character of your sound. Finally, I really like the effects I get with my Boss AW-3 Dynamic Wah. I like it better when I run two amps and leave one without the was. It has a tendency to thin the sound out a bit.

I’ve heard them...really cool!
EXH make tons of really cool pedals...I have
Canyon Delay
Cock Fight
and on the way is a Superego+ and a Mel9

I've tried phasers, fuzzes and a couple of others I've forgotten but in our group(2 guitars-normally-drums and me)they kinda got in the way of what the other guys were doing. As I said, when we go w/3pcs I kick in the POG-octave up-and it sounds like bass and guitar playing a pattern together.Fairly effective-esp. at the low volumes we're usually required by management to play.
