Thunderbird Club

I Find the same thing. It's annoying having to adjust both volumes every time. Someone told me that wiring them (Birds) up like a jazz bass would solve this. How else would you wire a 2 pickup, vol, vol, tone configuration? I can't think of many other ways.
On basses where I consistently use both pups to get the tone I want I've installed a stacked Vol/Vol pot. Once you get the neck and bridge volumes where you want them you can just grasp both the top and bottom knobs together to increase or decrease the overall volume much like a master volume knob would work. On a TBird that would free up a pot hole for a kill switch or pickup selector or coil tap switch (or as @kat888 would do, install a star shaped sticker). ;)

I'd always heard he'd used a TII for Sleighride, but I'd never seen any photos, awesome to see it. Absolutely love those first two Mountain albums.

Saw Felix perform a few songs in the late 70’s (probably 1978) with the danish rock band Gasolin’, who he was producing at the time.

Memory is a little foggy, but I believe he was playing keyboards, but he could have payed bass, as the bass player from Gasolin’ also played keys live.

This is for Kat, mostly. The photo makes it look like they are all a little out of square. They don't look that way in person.

The fuzz will change a few times again before I find one I really like. Gotta have fuzz for fuzz bow. Once you have tried it, you can't stop. I'm happy with the cables and how the fDeck is sitting, finally. The wiring and power supply are actually fairly neat underneath, too. I'm not sure how that happened.

Nice and tidy.

I wired mine up volume/blend/tone. Couldn't be happier!

Thanks. It matches your shiny shirts!

Love the look of the white TBirds. The white trim stripe on the headstock really looks neat, wish they would do something like that for the black birds as well. Are you going to stay with the star stickers on the pot holes, or do you have other plans?

Leaving the stars there, they are unobtrusive and easily reversible (not that I have any intention of letting it go). When I get the cover done for the pup cavity it will attach with two screws into the existing mounting holes. The only change which is not easily reversible is the pup mounting ring I added.

I played he Epi for a few minutes today. It felt really strange after not having touched it in several weeks. Must find a suitable box for it and put it up on eBay.

Sounds like you've really taken to the Orville. How would you say it differs from your Eppi? Both are great looking birds but I've never had the chance to try an Orville.

The Orville is lighter, feels more compact (due to the tapering on the wings) with less of a reach to the first fret, has those big reverse tuners. All that, a chunkier neck and the nickel hardware, you can feel the quality.
