Thunderbird Club

Maybe. I have a DGVU but I'm not looking to join any more clubs. Also one is enough -- don't need to collect the whole set.

Oh sure, you say that now. But the Mod will get more bowling shoes and trucker jackets and you will feel the need to compete.

As for not being a member of the Darkglass cult; you are in denial. :smug:

Not at all. If someone says, 'what do I need to do this?' I will say you need a device which does x'.

If someone asks what I would recommend, particularly in place of a device with which I have prior experience, I will say 'try device x'.

Having churned through a fair bit of cash in the quest for preamp/DI with a usable -- and not obnoxious -- organic sounding OD, the one I have now does the job = happy happy miaow miaow.

Get an OBD2 diagnostic reader. They are fairly cheap (similar in price to an EHX pedal). Then:
1. you won't get charged an exorbitant "diagnostic" fee at a mechanic.
2. you can reset the check engine light.

Most check engine light faults are related to pollution controls. Most commonly - loose gas cap and clogged EGR valve. The code will tell you what the fault is.
Oh, it's much deeper than that. I'll give you the Readers Digest condensed story.
Car was a gift. MIL lamp remained illuminated. O2 heater circuit short. Crawl under car, no cat. Cool looking 4-1 tube header! But no catalytic converter. Discontinued model, OEM parts are NLA, good grief.blah blah blah. You get my point. :dead:

And what’s all this then about pedalboards? My floor is my board.

The real question is, How's your box?
