the guitar player on the right is trying to seduce me!View attachment 628617 Did someone say gigging Thunderbirds?![]()
Yes they are! I have long gibbon like arms so it's not a problem for me.oh, didn't know that would be top posted. I was just responding to coments on the previous page that an NR bird is comparable in size to a fender style body. NR thunderbirds are long!

After longing to learn to play for a while I decided to go ahead and get an Epiphone TV silver Thunderbird for my very first bass guitar. For a very inexpensive instrument I have no complaints whatsoever after having it professionally setup with new strings. The only problem I have is people assume I am a good bass player since I have such a nice looking bass, haha.

So, I'm second guessing myself on getting emgs for my gothic mod... Has anyone shielded the stock goth pickups and in return gotten no hum?

My Goths don't hum. So I can't help you there.

I like emgs but I'm not prepared to drop 200$ into pickups.. And that's weird mine hummed like crazy
I do wear wristbands, mainly in the summer to absorb the sweat. I also wore a bandana wrapped around my wrist in the 80's, a red one in fact. Trouble is, the red dye from that bandana worked it's way into the finish on my
white Hamer Blitz and the red is still there to this day.
