I'm putting my Ric up for sale right now so i can get at 10 of those. I can picture it, when tuning it up, the neck just rips right off. I can't wait!

Pics please!

Man, I think I’ve officially driven myself batsh!t crazy with all this single source stuff. Got this today...

I didn’t like the idea of recording every bass part into Logic and processing it there. Felt like cheating. Started messing around with hardware sequencers, software iPad apps...all kinds of crap to see if I could pull off the single source thing as one live performance. So I just bit the bullet and got a 6 channel looper. So sick of tutorial videos and owners manuals at this point it ain’t even funny! Did come up with a few cool ideas today though...accidentally destroyed most of em...back to the manual :/

You're a beautiful crazy person. Not worried one bit you'll have this down.

Eventually, I’ll be able to laugh about it, but for now, this crap has destroyed what little self esteem I had left! I’ve been amazed at how bad I am at adapting to new pieces of gear...the learning curves just do me in :/
Hopefully, some cool music will come out of this.

Your talent far exceeds your, at the moment, perceived low self esteem.

I'm certain it's made of the finest wood-like substance, the bridge is cast lead too!

But you know what - some new young player who is drawn to "unusual shaped" basses and can't afford more can rock it! :bassist: My first bass was a lot worse I'm sure!

Probably better order two Jeff

That's the first time I've ever seen a 2 bolt neck, I wonder how long that'll hold together?

The lead bridge gives you that heavy tone.

The two bolt neck is a red flag. If they had good quality bolts, one would be enough to hold it on.

My first bass was only 2 years ago and I paid the princely sum of C$259.99 (approximately U$202). Yamaha produces a better instrument at a comparable price. There is no need to go to Chinese knock-offs of dubious quality.

When you put it that way JIO.......

Trust me, I'm not an advocate of current MIC crap by any means - I was just trying to relate it to my own first very cheap (affordable to me) MIJ bass I bought new in 1966. Yes those who are in the know now are aware of better quality for a similar cost - but frankly I was clueless back when I began this journey and how I ever continued playing after such a crap 1st bass is a miracle.

Dude, you are definitely putting someone's child through college with all these gear purchases. :). Seriously though, I hear you on the recording thing. I prefer to get as much as I can "out of the box. "
It reduces processing power and keeps things tidy. John Ford referred to it as "Cutting with the camera."
