I just got one the other day from fellow TBer bassstringsonline and it works great. Fits in a gig bag and clamps to any horizontal or vertical edge. Rock solid, cheap and compact, just what a gigging player needs.

Beautiful chair that I haven't seen before...

Apparently the chair is only made-to-order and takes about 3-4 month to complete.

These are not available in shops here, and as far as I can see, can only be ordered through the makers website:

Prices differ depending on which wood you choose to have the chair made in - International shipping is free (ought to be at that price!)

The Redfern shop has oak, walnut and ash. The walnut is nice. The black ash may be nicer. Maybe one day, after we win the lottery...

At least if you break a string the saddle doesn't fall out. Honestly I think the 7ender bridge is far superior to the three point.

As a person who has never broken a bass string, that's not a big consideration. Famous last words. I'll probably break a whole raft of 'em now.

I broke one once back in the 80s and another last year when retuning the Epi after some work -- it was probably the brass nut. A spare bridge for the Ōbiru wouldn't be significantly cheaper that the Hipshot. That + convenience may find me purchasing the Hipshot anyway.
