Thunderbird Club

Ugh to many vintage basses heading out. Last minute change, the 74 black and maple stays home my sandblasted Precision will be my backup for NYC.

Goatboy found this: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The upper horn is too big, it has a fake name on the TRC (if it's a copy, at least be honest about it), the pickguard and knobs look all wrong and really it isn't worth the bother.

All looks similar to this: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

May be the same factory.
The Rimini bass doesn't have that weirdly choked looking tail.

Getting ready for a little road trip, Rumourz has 4 shows in 5 days. We start in NYC at the Red Lion Wednesday night then a day off to sight see in the big apple. Next stop Geneva NY at FLX, then Ithaca NY at the Range and wrapping up at Funk and Waffles Rochester NY. Looking forward to meeting Jeff (JJR58) and delivering his Classic Pro Thunderbird! The gray ghost (I know not very original ) my 2014 Honda Odyssey all loaded up and my case is packed .View attachment 2971703 View attachment 2971704
If your van was black, it would look like a hearse. I see black Oddeseys on occasion, and I think they are great looking, in a quirky way. If you have to have a minivan, it's the way to go.

The Odyssey is the sports car of mini vans lol. I bought silver/gray on purpose it's low profile. No bumper stickers musician related or political. It doesn't attract a lot of attention and I like it like that. It does everything I could ask, gear hauler, family vehicle, paint wagon and furniture hauler, you name it plus it hauls @$$ when needed!

View attachment 2971915 I was playing my Explorer with the new Chinabuckers at practice last night. For some reason I was missing notes, farting out and just generally playing like crap...then I noticed my switch was in the "on" position...I gotta pay attention to the small stuff

Details, details

Really, what does that switch do?

Non descript is one of the best things about my government issue dark green Chevy Express. However, unlike yours, it gets lousy MPG and it doesn't haul @$$. That's about the only thing it won't haul.

Yeah. My Aerostar's dark green. About as noteworthy as a dead possum:smug:

Other than the hernias, how do like that amp?
The Bassman 10? I like it a lot. It's great for low to moderate volume. It will do Motown thump or grind real sweet. I picked it up recently for cheap.

DAMN! When you come in on "Wizard"-eargasm! Great sound. That 'Bird looks like mine when I had the covers off:D:D
Was in a group in the early '70s that did "Go to the Mirror"into"See me,Feel Me". I was on a Vox organ in to a Leslie mic'd in to my Kasino bass amp. Uh,we were loud!:D
