There was a truckstop in Georgia we used to go to. We'd always ask which cook made the grits. If it was the wrong one we'd get home fries.Nah. Polenta is what happens when you dry out grits.

I had grits once and I wasn't even in prison!!
These days it's huevos rancheros and Mexican (cinnamon, brown sugar and silver tequila) coffeeCountry ham and red eye gravy.
And that cook would come out going "Kiss my Grits!!"There was a truckstop in Georgia we used to go to. We'd always ask which cook made the grits. If it was the wrong one we'd get home fries.![]()

Nah, that's reserved for poutine..You had a course of penicillin for it I assume.
We didn't ask if the cook knew of our choice-seemed safer that way.And that cook would come out going "Kiss my Grits!!"![]()

At the State Fair in Tampa I discovered a whole new taste sensation:deep-fried,bacon wrapped tater tots-w/ranch dressing dipping sauce. No redeeming nutritional value-didn't care.![]()
That'll work!I had Japalenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon last Thursday drool
Thanks
And while I'm at it: Everybody else here, thank you all so much for the kindness you have shown since I came back, it shows just what kind of people you are. The answer is of course just plain normal but you're all Thunderbird players so that makes you extra special to me. The sad truth is though that although it should be just normal to accept someone like me it isn't always so. I was literally bricking it before posting the other evening, I didn't even think I would hit the post button while I was writing the post; I feel a bit ashamed now that I even worried about how you would react so please accept my apologies for that. It still feels very strange to me too so I accept it will be for you too but I am still the same person I always was (except I now have hair (admittedly a wig) and I occasionally wear a dress). Then again you're all in a similar position being TBird players
Thank you all once again, you're the best!
