A wise, and possibly life-saving,decision.Not a beer snob, but I know what I like. I will drink PBR, Mickey's, Rolling Rock, Dos Equis, etc but prefer some of the craft beers. The higher alcohol content doesn't hurt either. I enjoy cocktails as well. An old fashioned, Moscow mule, martini, etc are always welcome in my gullet. As far as cheap vodka goes, If I am mixing it (which is any time I drink it) I will use lower end stuff because I can rarely tell the difference in a mixed drink and if I can tell the difference its because someone was too heavy handed when they were pouring it (not going to say who that "someone" is).
I've recently developed a liking for Jameson caskmates. Takes only a wee dram to obtain a warm and fuzzy feeling.I'm not a beer fan either, I like the occasional glass of good cider in the summer on warm evenings. Gin and tonic is a favourite, has to be Gordons gin, I'm not a fan of the new "trendy" gins like rhubarb and ginger, they're OK but not gin to me. Another favourite is Southern Comfort and bitter lemon but that's my lot with spirits, wine is my drink of choice, I've become a big fan of Australian red wines, some can be as awful as any but some are a delight. Other than that I drink a lot of water out of the tap
Edit: what I used to buy in the pre Britta days...

That kind of alarm in NYC would have no use at all. Wouldn't even work as a deterrent.
For many years I lived in the downstairs half of a house in Bondi. The arseholes in the next house over had a burglar alarm that used to like going off, particularly in warm weather. The siren was in the narrow pathway between the houses directly outside my window -- aka a canyon -- and was as loud as fvck.
It would go for 20 minutes, reset and go off again, reset and go off again, reset ...
One day I rang the polis and they duly turned up, inspected the outside of nextdoor, pronounced all clear and turned the alarm off. They told me 'next time this happens, as soon as it goes a second time, just turn this switch off'. It was the main power switch for their entire house!
On numerous subsequent occasions much vicarious pleasure was derived from hearing the arseholes next door arriving home to a dark house and defrosted food.
Let's not be posting guns or politics here, we have a nice thing going but that kind of stuff doesn't fly elsewhere on TB and it won't here.
My best advice is for the posters to edit and remove that stuff before it gets reported - This thread has many, many more viewers than you all may realize and we're not immune from TB's rules.
I was surfing on my wife’s computer the other day. Now she’s getting ebay notification emails for Thunderbirds...Weird. Been on YT with the headphones practicing, and i'm getting all the other usual stuff. But no beer ads.
Yup, they all do as far as I know.
I’ve had breakfast there!
...and will again during our two week Xmas Holiday on 4 islands.

Been to the Islands 4 times, usually arriving late in the evening and usually went to the Denny's that was overseeing Waikiki beach for a later supper after m hotel check-in.
Love Hawaii, and would love to live there!![]()
I used to date a girl who was allergic to latex. I kid you not, after a long night of dinner, dancing and excessive drinking she told me that if she came in contact with latex she would go into anti-prophylactic shock. I never laughed so hard in my entire life.![]()

What do you guys think?

About $5 per filter and about $10 for a 1.75L bottle of crap vodka is enough to last me a good long time on shots and martinis. Hardly a fortune unless you drink like a fish.

I know. Figured you'd like that. I found everything to be much more expensive abroad. In UK 2X pricing is common.Looks like my '67 except for no handrest/bridge cover. I kinda wonder what mine would be worth-just curiosity.![]()
