There are basses, and there are Thunderbirds!
Hard to do better than that for an obnoxiously blingy finish.
The next question is does it want a nice slab of pearloid on it, or no PG for maximum in your face fuschia flake eye-ache?
No PG...

And while i say that, i'd really dig one of these. They've been posted before. There are a few here that may have this type.

BTW, probably a dumb question but what's that wood mustache lookin' thing-y on my NR's pick guard?![]()
I’ve got the Hipshot Kickass bridge on my bumper, it’s a reproduction of the badass. Very shiny and had a dark fat sound compared to the bent bit of Tin Fender make.Is that a Badass? Warmoth bridge options are quite limited.

I tried playing w/ the thumb after seeing Brian Wilson in an OLD video. NOPE!It’s a tug bar... Essentially the same as a thumb rest, before manufacturers realized a thumb rest above the E string was a better idea. A totally old school thing when bass players played with their thumb.

HipShot.
EDIT; Aaaand, Mark beat me to it.
That seems a bit steep. The car sprayers got back to me = $450, which by the time I bought a decent alder or basswood body would work out no cheaper.

I was banned for posting a punk song.
I'm inclining towards no pickguard and a chrome control plate. Ashtrays are a step too far for me I'm afraid mate. Lollipops for sure.
I really dig the retro vibe of pearloid, but no pickguard would be much more in yer face. If you pay all that money for a bling finish, might as well show it off.
Hipshot A type Fender mount seems to be the go.
You can always add the pg later if the look isn’t to your liking
