Speaking of gig bags and cases and foam removal, does anyone know where I can get additional pieces of foam (preferably black fur covered) to add to a case?

Mine also is a IV Pro (burst). Really hoped to NOT to have to remove that padding but "ya gotta do what ya gotta do" to make the bass fit.I bought a Gator Go Pro for my Epiphone Pro IV...this bass is longer than the regular Epiphone Thunderbirds by about 2 inches but it fits fine. Very good padding, good neck support, and the walls get quite stiff when you zip up the bag.
Won't fit in Momo cases, according to the Momo rep I spoke too, not sure about the new Gig Blade...they just lowered the price from $250 to $199, though and the inside dimensions sound right.
The Gator goes for $150. I still have mine and use it for everything except my Dean Exotica acoustic bass

Had to remove the extra pad from the bottom of the bag...Velcro. You can see it under the bag's corner.
Foambymail.com has all kinds of good ideas. And they have a Canadian site too.Speaking of gig bags and cases and foam removal, does anyone know where I can get additional pieces of foam (preferably black fur covered) to add to a case?
Mine fits snugly in my reunion blues continental bag, not exactly a budget bag but man this thing has taken some abuse the 4+ years I've had it and except for some scuffs on the logo patch and some dirt it still looks just like when my dad bought it for me.Mine also is a IV Pro (burst). Ive been looking at that very bag as after posting my wuestion I started up my Google Fu.
Thanks for the reply, very helpful to get personal perspective.
You're welcome. I actually used that bag in a trade for a bass after selling my Thunderbird. Later, I bought a PVC Gator case...very nice, but too heavy.Mine also is a IV Pro (burst). Really hoped to NOT to have to remove that padding but "ya gotta do what ya gotta do" to make the bass fit.

That's Bad Bird.That's badass
Headstock repairs seem to run $100-150. Could be a good deal for someone to snag it and get it fixed.
now I'm not sure what to do. I have a Thunderbird pro IV that I wanted to mod to a single pickup passive "T.-Bird2" but now I got a White limited epi for a hundred bucks.... go t-bird 2 or go fenderbird-2 and sell the pro? not sure... not sure at all.
