I've never heard of it happening before. I'm curious if your playing technique might have something to do with it. It's quite common for 'bird players to run their pickups high (close to the strings). If the pup screw wasn't holding on to much wood, it's possible that the way you rest your thumb or the way you pick/pluck coulda caused your issue (just spitballin' here)...

Most of the bars have it on tap and All the supermarkets carry bottles and cans. Probly a regional thing. I never see Olympia here.

And you are friends with Roman?! I saw him with The Damned on guitar on their Phantasmagoria tour in Copenhagen, where they put on a great show.

The Damned has always been one of my all-time favourite bands from the punk era together with The Stranglers, The Jam and Generation X.

What was the name of the band you were in, while playing with The Damned? :)

It is kind of regional beer. We can't get it here but they sell it in south Mississippi where my family lives. Two co-workers were just in Tampa on a client training and had several pitchers while there. They enjoyed it.

Kimono My House featured Martin Gordon on Rickenbacker bass, and also had him responsible for the arrangements of the songs.

If anyone should have any doubt how a "real" Rickenbacker 4001 sounds like - This is the album to get: Amazing basslines and sound.

Some other equally great "bass albums" featuring Ric's are The Damned's "Black Album" and "Strawberries" with Paul Gray - Amazing bass player, that fortunately has rejoined The Damned for the new album and tour.

I think I got slightly derailed on the last bit... :D

Roman and I were good mates back then, not seen him for ages sadly. Our band was called the mystery girls ironically but not to be confused with another band with the same name that appeared a couple of years later from Milton Keynes or somewhere like that. We were never going to amount to much, our greatest success was getting a couple of tapes played on the John Peel show
