Left Hand makes a peanut butter milk stout. That's something I might have passed on, but the very knowledgible bartender described it to me and gave me a sample. Its SUPER dark, like black hole dark, but has a creamy, rich head. The peanut butter flavor is not overpowering. I found a new favorite.

I like the peanut butter for one serving then move on to something else. It isn't something that I would have tried without someone giving me a sample. It is quite good IMO. But I am really hung up on barrel aged stuff at the moment. So damn strong and soooooooo good drool

I got back mostly to normal yesterday and played bass on a record for a rock band in the day and did a 4 hour gig last night. No arty indulgences, which was probably good for my sanity
Went to bed at 5am. Got up, saw all the great music posted here and went down a brief rabbit hole, bought a Sparks record I’d lost years ago and watched a documentary on Kraftwerk for some reason.
The Single Source thing is kind of taking shape and I was pleased with the last couple jams, like “Good Friday,” and a couple others, but it still doesn’t know what it wants to be, so I’ll keep chasing it down. I really don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t make music. Finest thing in this world

Roman and I were good mates back then, not seen him for ages sadly. Our band was called the mystery girls ironically but not to be confused with another band with the same name that appeared a couple of years later from Milton Keynes or somewhere like that. We were never going to amount to much, our greatest success was getting a couple of tapes played on the John Peel show

There’s a brewery called Pipeworks where I live and they had a ‘White Russian’ stout on tap at a neighborhood beer fest. It tasted exactly like a White Russian. Minds in my party were blown. I’ve never seen it in a bottle but would pick it up instantly. Your post made me think of this, not sure why....
