Anche io. Mia mamma a mai imaparatto l'inglese..

I miei genitori sono venuti negli Stati Uniti nel 1967. Mio padre non ha accento, ma mia madre ha ancora i suoi ma il loro Inglese è molto buono. Sono andati al college e si sono laureati con 2 anni di laurea.

Parliamo quasi sempre Inglese ora, ma ogni tanto mia madre passa all'Italiano ed è carina.

You have fantastic taste in music, seriously!
Just finished a 4 hour gig...three 4 hour gigs 3 nights straight. Not like it’s the toughest job in the world, but I am feeling a little beat up. Super easy session is the only thing on my plate tomorrow, so life is good

Is it any good, probably a daft question! I've not heard it yet but when funds allow I'll get a copy.

I had a mate who was in school with Andy Scott from the Sweet, they started a band together but he had to quit because his mother wouldn't let him stay out late Honestly!

Four hour gigs? Hells bells that would kill me, 20 minutes, half an hour we used to do, just over an hour now if we don't get kicked out first

I'll try the toothpick thing, thanks! I have never had a pickup unscrew itself on any of my other basses though, or have any screw come loose for that matter. I find it odd. Is it a thing with Thunderbirds?

No not really a Thunderbird thing but a bass thing. Things do come loose from time to time . I find it odd that you have never had something come loose on a bass lol. I periodically go over my stage basses and tighten things up. I even keep a little screw driver velcroed in my pedal board for onstage emergencies such as yours.

Certainly not the same without Jim or Nod but god bless 'em for carrying on. More original members than most touring 70's bands.

We don't get much in our neck of the woods and never that close to home and at £30 for two tickets and all going to charity I couldn't say no. God knows what they will sound like in a north Wales quarry and without Noddy's sweet voice, time will tell but I suspect Dave Hill will insist on bringing enough cabs to cope.

Mike Peters is worth a ticket too, another local to me boy, had a very hard time with cancer over the years and devotes himself to fundraising these days

Well ****. I plugged in my new Vintage Pro Thunderbird and it's dead quiet, not a peep. Checked all my cables, had a look in the back, nothing out of place. Tried other basses and they work. So much for Sweetwaters 55 point check. I guess its going back.

May be redundant, but have you checked the pots to make sure they were wide opened?
Sometimes the simplest things are overlooked.
